Primehook Beach Bayfront Beauty

A Prime Hook Beach waterfront classic with timeless charm and beautiful views of the Delaware Bay along with the Prime Hook Wildlife Refuge. Enjoy the fall and winter seasons cozied up next to the gas-fired wood stove taking in the breathtaking scenery through the large windows and multiple sliding doors. The main, 2nd floor, living space consists of a master bedroom, with private bath, powder room, spacious kitchen with peninsula, dining area and family room featuring a propane stove for cool evenings. Both living and dining areas open to a generously sized screened porch and deck with a private walkway to your own private beach. The third floor suite, with private bath, features great views of the bay and wetlands alike. Lower level has 2 bedrooms, family room, a full bath as well as a laundry/kitchenette. This home is primed for you family's summer vacation or off season restful getaway. Primehook Beach and Wildlife Refuge also serves a birders wonderland in the off season; winter is a particularly great time for waterfowl, winter finches, sparrows, and Hermit Thrush. Sonos available for music streaming.
Please note that the owner occasionally has a dog in the house during their stay. House is professionally cleaned after every visit.

Slice of Heaven

For our Tribe weekend we stayed at this gorgeous home on the beach. I have to tell you everything about it was amazing. The house, the view, the area everyone enjoyed themselves. I’m not that much of a beach person but I this time I found myself not wanting to leave. Very accommodating with early check in and check out.

Amazing property, enough room for adults and tweens to have social time and alone time. The beach access is fantastic, there were 2 kayaks that we utilized. Definitely a great location for family especially with littles!

Fantastic Place

The beach house was impressive with a great location. There was plenty of room for 3 families and the walkway led straight to the beach. Lots of horseshoe crabs, hermit crabs, sea coral and sponges for the kids to explore.

The house was great with the many windows facing the beach and also the refuge. The living area was open for conversations whether in the kitchen or dining areas. The lower level offered privacy for all parties as needed. We had a great time

This property was everything and then some! The neighborhood was quiet and serene. The house was beautiful. So much space for the 5 adults and four kids we had in our group. You were literally steps away from the beach! Loved everything about this property. Would 100%rent this property again!

Perfect Getaway

Loved this house. It had so many spaces for our larger group to spend time but also a big kitchen and table for meals. Beautifully decorated and comfortable. We all love this beach for the wildlife. Clearly lots of live and not so live horseshoe crabs, but we also saw dolphins, a sea turtle, unfortunately many jellyfish, hermit crabs, blue crabs, and so much more.

Right on the Water!

We enjoyed our stay. The layout of the house was perfect for us as we ate meals, played games, watched tv, and had a few nice hours of weather to sit on the deck. The water is right at the end of the steps....we loved walking along the beach finding amazing shells! The management company was very helpful and replied to any questions quickly.

A great spot!

This vrbo exceeded expectations as far as its several different amenities, the layout of the house, and the physical location as the view was incredible from all sides. The only caveat was there were no towels, paper towels, or toilet paper which would have been helpful to have been told earlier. Outside of that, this house was an incredible stay for our group!

NYE on Primehook

This house and the location are amazing! Beautiful interior - I don't think the pictures do it justice. The living room with gas fire was so cozy, and the king bed was the most comfortable rental bed I have ever slept in. The kitchen is huge and had everything we needed. And the beach is spectacular. I can't wait to go back!

New Years Stay

I had the pleasure of staying in this lovely home for two nights to ring in the new year. I stayed with my husband and our children, as well as my best friend and her family. I enjoyed my stay and the house was clean and very comfortable. Beware though, you will be required to bring your own linens (e.g., sheets, towels, blankets, etc.) which was quite annoying when you are only coming for two nights. Also, the keypad was not working and it was tricky to find the lock box, which had only one key.

Thanksgiving werkend

Our family of 7 stayed for thanksgiving weekend there was plenty of space for all of us. The location is great right on the beach. When we arrived there was a bag of laundry left over in the elevator. One of the lower level beds was not made and a shirt was left on the bed. Otherwise the house was clean and was a nice place for our family’s weekend.

We had a great time! Beautiful rental. Easy to find and right in the beach. Only issues were spiders on the first level (probably because of time of year with temp dropping) and the rental description says lift for people however once we got there we were told it was not for people….only items. May want to change that. Otherwise we absolutely loved it!

Excellent Location, Clean Home

This is our 3rd year coming to Prime Hook and we love the privacy this beach offers. We arrived to a clean home. The check-in process was effortless; the key code worked immediately and we were instantly able to start our vacation. The home was clean and very tastefully decorated. We loved having bedrooms on 3 floors so we could space out. We used the screened in porch to enjoy almost every meal. We arrived on a Monday, unloaded our car and didn't get back into our car until our check out on Thursday. Amazing location, clean home, relaxing beach, what more could you ask for?

Quiet, Beautiful Home

We loved our stay in this quiet, beautiful home. it is at the end of a residential street with the bay to the East, and a wildlife management area to the West. Our family, ranging from ages 8-71, spent the week. House was clean and well lit with natural sunlight streaming in the sliding glass doors. We loved the ice maker, jigsaw puzzle collection, large TVs, chilly air conditioning, outdoor shower, screened in porch, and views of the bay. We had to drive every day to a public beach (Rehobeth, Towers Beach, about 40 min) because the beach at the house is unswimmable, which was the only disappointment. There were just too many jellyfish, crabs, and horseshoe crabs. However, the kids liked fishing and walking the beach at night with a flashlight, watching the crabs scatter. I loved watching the Egrets fishing and took great pictures of the sunrise and sunset. It is a wonderful location to just relax.

Family Friendly; Great Views

This home is lovely - and there are no bad views! With the bay on one side and the marsh on the other, there are water views everywhere you look. Our party had 3 toddlers so we were thrilled to find the house had a gate for the top of the stairwell that went downstairs. And the stairwell leading to the upstairs suite has a door, making this a friendly, safe space for our crew. We loved the large kitchen and found it to be well stocked. The additional living space downstairs was also great when we wanted to spread out and the screened in porch was a great spot for reading, chatting, etc. It was lovely to watch the sunrise over the bay in the mornings and very convenient to have direct beach access...particularly with the little ones. We had some difficulty with the dishwasher initially, but the property manager was very responsive and it was resolved quickly. It might help others to know that downstairs gets very cold when the other floors are comfortable. Pack accordingly for those who will sleep downstairs - I grabbed some long sleeve tees for my little ones since they don't stay under blankets and all was resolved.

Nice place to enjoy, but more issues than expected.

The location and beach access was amazing. The house was spacious, convenient, and accommadating. The outdoor space of the house was amazing also. We however did deal with a lot of minor issues. Upon arrival we had been given the wrong code to get in and had to contact the property manager. We also found a basket of dirty towels and hand cloths next to the washer, dirty eating and cooking utensils, one of the beds was dirty, and the kitchen counters, sinks, fridge and freezer were dirty. The floors and bathrooms however, were clean. When attempting to use the grill, their was no gas and we had to empty 3 pints of grease just to try to use it. After we purchased gas we found that the burners would only stay lit for a few seconds, making the grill unusable, so we had to replan some meals. Their is only a straw broom to use on the floors, so we could not vacuum at all.
