"House was clean and cozy. A bit smaller than expected from photos but clean and comfortable and the back yard is beautiful and perfect for morning coffee and evening wine. It had everything we needed to prepare meals and plenty of towels and basics."

"We enjoyed the large space and the privacy of the separate place. It was quiet and felt safe. It was clean. There were many extra thoughtful amenities that are not usually provided in rental places. The host/hostess were very thoughtful to provide so many amenities. We never met them but appreciated everything!We especially liked the spaciousness and the location and would definitely stay here again."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Palais de Leon and had a wonderful family reunion here. It’s a beautiful, truly one-of-a-kind property with plenty of space for a large group. The pool and riverfront are amazing, beds were comfortable, and the home is full of unique rooms, antiques and amenities. We especially enjoyed the theater, paddleboards/kayaks and incredible liquor collection. The team also made check-in easy and provided a helpful tour.That said, a few things fell short of what we’d expect from a luxury rental at this price point. The hot tub wasn’t working when we arrived. Technicians came during our stay, but with no notice or updates, and we only discovered it was working shortly before leaving.The kitchen could also use updating. Cookware was old/mismatched and limited for a large group, the oven took over an hour to preheat, and the dishwashers didn’t clean well.Having to manually lock/check 20 exterior doors was cumbersome, and an electronic keypad would be a welcome upgrade.Finally, the advertised EV chargers are older Tesla chargers configured for Tesla vehicles only. Our Cadillac EV wouldn’t charge even with an adapter, so a universal charger would be helpful.Overall, we had a great stay and made wonderful family memories. With a few updates, this could truly be a 5-star luxury experience."

"We had a very nice stay. The front desk staff, especially Anthony, was very helpful and kind. The pool is beautiful and right on the lake. (There is not a fence between the pool deck and the lake, so young kids will need to be supervised.) The property is older yet well maintained and quite charming. We would definitely stay again."

"Lovely house with beautiful views. The home was clean and very comfortable. My recommendation is you add Tupperware and food storage necessities like saran wrap and aluminum foil to preserve leftover food. Thank you for the lovely stay."
