Newly Restored Guest Suite inside Historic Mansion with Scenic Hilltop Views
10/10 Excellent
"Beautiful gorgeous stunning building. I love lore and the hosts offer it all up. The character of this building is nice to get to know, we left grateful that it’s getting another life. I am excited to see the host’s vision for renovation come together as the work done so far is well done. I’ll definitely be back. We only got to stay one night as we were catching the ferry to the isle. That said, our stay was comfortable, we felt safe, there’s a cat (we’re cat people), and there was thimbleberry jam for sale (we’re also thimbleberry jam people). All the little touches, the carving wires with every hook up I could think, the outlet in the bathroom was the perfect amount of nightlight, the shower mat was so cushy, snacks, coffee, fridge, reading materials, comfortable porch. Truly a labor of love. "
"we stayed in the eastwood suite, it was wonderful, it is street side so if you are a light sleeper, you can hear cars sometimes when theyre reving, but we had NO problems sleeping with the adjustable bed, it was so comfortable and nice to sit and watch tv with.
spacious!!! could do cartwheels!
kitchen was fully equipped, useable and if i really had to complain, my only ask would throw in some salt and pepper or a spice, but thats so dumb to complain about, all is super readily available with in the area.
staff was beyond wonderful, making sure we were comfortable and always making sure if we needed anything, loved the simplicity of everything here.
i really also enjoyed sitting outside, they have outside activities like baggo/corn-hole , large dice ect with such a beautiful view of the bridge, i have to stay, i dont think ill stay anywhere else in houghton/hancock besides this place in my future visits! "
