“Studies have found that water in motion can help ease one’s levels of cortisol by up to 30 percent in just 20 minutes.”

Wake up to the sound of the rushing creek and relax in your private creekside hot tub in the woods. With over 280 feet of private creek frontage and lush forest views on both sides, this 972 square foot cabin offers rare seclusion and natural beauty - perfect for couples or families seeking a peaceful yet adventure-filled escape.

Inside, the fully updated kitchen features granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and all the essentials to cook at home - including an electric griddle, toaster, crockpot, and generous bar space with seating for four. For the coffee enthusiast, enjoy your morning brew just the way you like it - with a Keurig (starter K-Cups included), a drip coffee maker, or a Chemex for slow pours, complete with a grinder for fresh beans.

The cozy great room welcomes you with a soaring vaulted ceiling, leather recliners, and a stunning floor-to-ceiling stone wood-burning fireplace. The fireplace is not hooked up to gas, so you will want to use a small fire starter and kindling to get the fire going. A 50” Roku smart TV (in guest mode for easy login/logout) and a vintage-style record player with curated vinyl create the perfect mix of comfort and character. The dining table seats four adults comfortably - or two adults and up to four children getting cozy together on the large bench.

The main floor bunk room includes two double bunks, ideal for kids or additional guests, and features built-in shelves in the closet with board games and baskets for unpacking/organizing. There is a DREO wall heater installed for chilly nights. Adjacent is a beautifully updated full bathroom with a tiled shower.

Just beyond the kitchen is a laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer, making longer stays easy.

Upstairs, the open, serene primary bedroom is wrapped in windows, letting you drift to sleep to the sounds of nature. It features a king bed with soft linens, warm lighting, a desk nook overlooking the woods, and a 32” Roku TV. The private en suite bathroom includes an updated walk-in shower and thoughtful storage.

Start your day with coffee or wind down with wine in the serene screened gazebo, which connects to the back porch, where a yoga mat, light weights, and cozy seating await - plus the option to string up a hammock for the ultimate unwind.

Step outside off the back porch onto a new deck to soak in the brand-new hot tub under string lights and a canopy of rhododendrons. Fire up the Weber gas grill and savor a perfectly grilled dinner as you take in the soothing sights and sounds of the creek. Roast marshmallows by the large firepit just feet from the creek, or relax on the covered porch in one of the rocking chairs while the water rushes below.

The backyard opens right onto the creek - perfect for fishing, rock hopping, and exploring with -or without- the kids. The catch-and-release stream is stocked twice a year with trout. You’ll want to bring your own gear and wade in for the best cast (the low-hanging trees can make bank fishing trickier). Creek depth can vary with water levels so expect a short, uneven approach into the creek - just enough to make it feel like a true mountain adventure. Guests have reeled in and released everything from small trout to a few impressive 12–14” catches near the rapids.

The paved driveway is slightly steep but fits two cars comfortably. The cabin is located just 10-15 minutes from downtown Blue Ridge and downtown McCaysville, and close to waterfalls, wineries, and scenic hikes. Creekside Refuge is your invitation to unplug, slow down, and reconnect - with nature and each other.
