Family Getaway
We went with a family of 15 and were very happy. Everything was clean and working. Property was very private with lots of room for everyone to spread out and do your own thing. Enjoyed the pool, hot tub, fire fit and playing corn hole in the back yard. Communication with Owner Jodi was excellent which made our trip that much easier. Looking forward to trying another one of their properties.

13 of us stayed comfortably in the home and enjoyed the game rooms and property. We also enjoyed the blue ridge scenic railroad ride one day !! Excellent communication and property.

Cozy cabin
From the moment we arrived, we knew this place was special. The location & scenery are spectacular. The communication and check in were on point. Would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone who’s looking for an awesome place to get away. Happy new years.

The most amazing property we have rented with VRBO
The trip was to celebrate two family birthdays and then our oldest granddaughter got engaged so we were overwhelmed with happiness! We could not have asked for a more perfect setting. Anything we needed was there. Jodi was wonderful and so responsive and attentive. Everyone wants to go back next year for our annual b celebration.

Great Family Getaway
This property is incredible, and it was a joy to host our large family there for 2 birthdays and the Blue Ridge Ultra race. We will certainly be making a tradition out of staying at this property. I have been going to blue ridge for years, and this is my favorite house I have ever stayed in.

Wonderful Wedding Venue
My fiancé and I rented Southern Orchard house for our wedding weekend and couldn’t have been happier! Not only was the cabin absolutely gorgeous inside and out, the hosts, Jodi and Steve, were amazing. Jodi came by to help direct traffic before the ceremony, and when the rain showers didn’t stop, she suggested we move the ceremony inside, in front of the fireplace, which ended up being the perfect setting! Excellent All Around
Excellent accommodations for all 18 members of our family gathering to celebrate our 50 Anniversary! Wonderfully decorated, very CLEAN and handy to conveniences! There are many areas of the home to entertain ourselves. All of us enjoyed the swimming pool, deck areas, rec rooms, fire table and living room. Loved it!

Family Had A Blast In Beautiful House
We had 9 adults and 5 grandkids staying in this beautiful house with pool. The house is well laid out for both kids and adults. The kitchen is fabulous with easy cooking and cleaning with up-to-date stainless steel appliances. Large deck space off of living room with tables and hot tub. Easy walk down to the pool with fantastic waterfall and well designed/ groomed trees, shrubs, and flowers. Easy 15 minute ride to Super Wall Mart for groceries, etc. The house is well setback from the road to give quiet and privacy for the house. Every night we had visits from a mother deer and her two fawns. Very quick response from the wonderful owners on requests for more pool towels and other minor stuff. Owners have were very much interested in our having a relaxing annual family reunion. Thanks!!

Outstanding!!
My son and grandson were visiting from France and we wanted a place where the entire family could come together, relax and yet have plenty of family time around the pool, in the game room and around the dinner table. It's not easy to find such a beautiful home that can accommodate 15 people with comfort. Jodi's home exceeded our expectations by far! She was an excellent host and the property was immaculate. I highly recommend this property and we will return!

Great family vacation spot
This property was excellent for our family. We had 6 adults and 4 children ranging from 6 years old to a newly walking 1 year old. Everyone had plenty of space - there are so many nooks to hang out and the kids never tired of the pool and treehouse. We didn’t even fully utilize the pool table or ping pong areas! The kitchen was perfect for many family dinners, it had everything needed and more. For the youngest in our crew, there was a pack n play, high chair and baby gates for the stairs. We did opt to ask grandparents to bring their baby gate as it has an easy door in it for the other kids to easily go to and from their bunks in the basement. We adventured to the creek, picked blackberries and the evenings were just magical for adults to stargaze from the pool/hot tub/fire table. The deer and rabbits were so fun to watch in the field. I could go on… thank you to Jodi and Steve for being amazing hosts!

60th Birthdays
Our entire family (5 sons, 3 daughters-in law, 4 grandchildren) had an amazing time at Southern Orchard! The accommodations and amenities were the best---even little details were provided. We had a week that provided lots of "Liquid Sunshine", but that did not dampen our fun AND we saved on sunscreen! We definitely reccommend this property if you are in the market for a fabulous North Georgia vacation

Spring Break in the Mountains
We stayed at this property for our Spring Break! The beaches in Alabama where we are from would have been too cold this time of year, so we decided on a change of scenery. This house was perfect! We had four families with kids ranging from 3-12 and everyone had a blast. The owners were wonderful to work with. Anyone who stays here will not be disappointed!!!

Fantastic stay in Mineral Bluff!
We had a fantastic stay to celebrate my 40th birthday. The kids absolutely loved hiking by the creek and playing in the tree house. The adults loved the fire pit, extremely comfortable king beds and the overall peacefulness of the property. We saw deer and wild turkeys which the kids loved as welll.

The Perfect Place For Our Family
Southern Orchard House is the perfect place for a large family get together! The house and property is beautiful and so spacious. Plenty of room to not be crowded together, unless you want to. All the rooms are large, except one of the bunk rooms. The kitchen was stocked with almost anything you could need! The hot tub was wonderful on the cold days and nights! Our grandchildren loved the fire pit. It was a special Christmas for our family. Jodi and Steve were very attentive to any problem we had. We will definitely plan to stay there again.

This is EASY PEASY! Do not look any further than the Southern Orchard house.. It is Fabulous and Jodi and Steve are amazing and more than accommodating.. Truly the kindest and sweetest hosts♥️ We had 20 for a family wedding . The awesome porch , fire pit and heated pool were a real plus. Of course the hot tub was a chapter for the book with everyone laughing, telling old stories , singing even if they couldn’t (lol) right under that gorgeous moon and stars so bright because the house sits on 15 acres and there are no city lights around and the sky is most memorable . Slip into a very comfy bed with wonderful linens and wake up to a beautiful sunrise.. and say…. This is a piece of heaven !! Thank you Jodi and Steve♥️

Perfect Private Luxury Getaway!
What an absolutely beautiful property. 15 acres, very private, home has EVERYTHING you need. Beautifully decorated, well-appointed kitchen and appliances. Plenty of space for our party of 15. Very clean - no detail is missed! Owner was very attentive to anything we needed during our stay, Pool and hot tub were amazing. It is just the most perfect spot and we can't wait to rent again!

Beautiful cabin getaway
This is a beautiful property. A remote location yet close enough to lots of activities. The kids had great fun in the pool, the game room, and the TV room. We had a couple of questions while there and they were answered immediately by Jodi. Highly recommend this property for a family gathering.

Superior attention to detail. Close to what you want to do in blue ridge. I can’t tell you how amazing the stay was. They thought of everything! Spectacular Family Vacation!
The Southern Orchard House was perfect for our family vacation! It housed all 20 (10 adults and 10 grandchildren) of us comfortably! The age range of our group was 5–66, and ALL of us enjoyed!…Lots of area for the children to run around, gorgeous swimming pool, numerous games, lovely kitchen, and location was convenient to travel to other excursions! Jodi was very responsive to any questions and was great on communication! I wanted to make this a special vacation for the family, and it certainly didn’t disappoint!!!

What a great stay!
The house itself is amazing! It's large, clean, and very well-stocked (dishes and glasses, towels, games. etc.). High speed internet connectivity was a real plus and there's plenty of space to get comfortable, but the highlight of the property is the pool. We couldn't get our kids to come out! It's a good size, has an attractive waterfall built in, and they use salt instead of chlorine, so no burning eyes. There are plenty of outdoor chairs (both in and out of the shade), so everyone can camp out where they want. The owners have really done a very nice job with this property!

Family Fun
Our family had a blast . What an awesome setting to let kids run and play and swim . The adults enjoyed jogs and walks in the property. The huge porches were great for eating , visiting , playing with kids , reading … the pool was lots of fun . We enjoyed the park nearby for fishing , canoeing on the Toccoa River , playing on playgrounds, strolling babies in the shade , reading in the benches under the huge oak trees . We definitely recommend this for family gatherings.

AMAZING PLACE!!!
We loved our stay in this lovely, awesome, peaceful home! We loved the comfy beds, the hot tub, fire pit, swing, pool, playground, game area, porch, the layout of the house, etc. We want to come back! This is such an amazing place to get away from it all, yet have everything you could possible think of right there. . Thank you so much for offering your home as a vacation rental! Great home for a family trip during winter or summer
This was a wonderfully maintained home, with a great kitchen, outdoor areas and location near downtown Blue Ridge. Many different spaces across 3 floors with a pool table, ping pong table and TVs. Having a gas line to the grill was a plus and appliances were top of the line. Highly recommended.

Our family was extremely excited about this property. The pictures were absolutely gorgeous. However, we were expecting a bit more quiet and privacy. The house is located on a main country highway. If you sit on the beautiful wrap front porch or even in the media room you hear cars and big trucks driving by all hours of the day. The property is also not as remote so your feel exposed from the front and side of the home. We were expecting a house on several private acres. We also were expecting a paved driveway which could have been our mistake. The description does say paved drive to the house. It does not say paved driveway way. If you look closely at the photos you will see it is gravel. I found out the hard way by driving a convertible sports car to the property. It was a picturesque drive but not a good driveway for the car. That was not the reason I rated our stay for this property so low. The property itself looked like the photos. Beautifully decorated. It was also extremely dirty. There was dust all over the surfaces. The bathroom mirrors had not been cleaned in some time. The entire house had a dusty smell like it needed to be aired out. There were spiders and their webs everywhere inside the home and all over the beautiful wrap around porch. There were spiderwebs in the showers, in the bedrooms, in the windows. It was a reoccurring theme. I had to purchase cleaning supplies to dust and clean so we could stay at the property. The chandeliers and vents have layers of dust. When we went to enjoy the basement area there was animal fur balls attached to the wood walls. When we went to bed there was what looked to be cat fleas in the main level king bed. There were lady bugs in the upstairs level king beds. I spend the entire three day weekend cleaning. My daughter who was celebrating her birthday did enjoy herself and the house. Having seen it after I cleaned most of it. So it did serve its main purpose for her birthday. However for a weekend vacation it defiantly was not. I did Recommend to the property manager that it needed pest control and a deep clean before the next guests. I feel it has the potential of being a fabulous family getaway if the neglect is addressed. I know the location of the main highway can not be changed but perhaps a water feature in front of the house to drown out the sound and maybe so trees planted in the front and side for privacy.

We can only assume that there were other issues outside of our home that led to your frustration spilling over into an outlandish and inaccurate review. We want to share some details below for future guests with regard to the false claims regarding our home and the attention to detail for maintaining our luxury accommodations. 1. The house is located on 15+ acres of private property. The drive to the front gate is on all paved roads with a flat, professionally maintained gravel driveway leading to the house once on the property. It is accessible by any type of vehicle. 2. Myself and our team take great pride in making sure everything is perfect prior to a guests arrival. As the owner, I personally spend at least 2 hours checking every aspect both after our cleaning team and before each guests arrival. 3. Our properties are all serviced on a reoccurring basis by Gilstrap Exterminating to ensure critters are mitigated as best they can in the mountains. They serviced this property just 3 days before check in. 4. New linens are put on beds prior to every guests arrival and extremely unlikely that there were any bugs in the beds. 5. Cleaning supplies are provided and available for guest use during each stay. Should anything need replenishment or attention we are close by and will send someone within a 1-hour timeframe. 6. All of our properties are animal free due to severe allergies. The claim about “fur balls” and “cat fleas” couldn’t be further from the truth. 7. Southern Orchard has a waterfall at the pool that is on a daily schedule and can be adjusted by letting us know. We are happy to extend it or shorten the timer it is on. In closing, we take great pride in providing amazing experiences for our guests and strive to exemplify luxury. If at any time during a stay something doesn’t meet these expectations we are just a text away and will respond within minutes. This is the absolute best place I have stayed in Blue Ridge! I have done a fall retreat for years and Jodi’s place is by far the cream of the crop!! Jodi is amazing to worth with and the cabin is spotless!!

Early fall
Very nice stay. The young children enjoyed the propery: field, treehouse and exploring the creek. We all took advantage of the firepit for roasting marshmallows, and the pool/jacuzzi area for evening gathering. It's good to know that the basement rooms have no windows. The house interior is pleasant and "kid friendly". Minuses are the noises that disturb nighttime mountain quiet due to the busy road that you can hear from the house, and the pool falls (it would be nice if you could turn that off when wanted). Overall, highly recommend.

This property is above and beyond
We loved our stay at the southern orchard house! The property is even more amazing in person than it is in the photos. The interior of the home is beautiful and high quality everywhere you look. There was plenty of space for a group of adults to enjoy themselves and celebrate a 30th birthday. The space has lots of activities around the property and offers everyone space to not be crammed together the whole time and easy to pop over to downtown Blue Ridge. The hosts are very responsive and eager to help. My fiancé proposed to me here and we will definitely be returning!

Labor Day Vacay
Awesome property! Our family enjoyed the pool, hot tub & all the other games and activities. The kitchen was well equipped and the many decks and porches were relaxing. The property was also convenient to local activities such as shopping and rafting. A great vacation!

Amazing stay!
We had a family reunion of 14 at this amazing house. The house was beautiful, and it was clear that the owners took great care in providing the best experience for their guests. The house was immaculate upon arrival. The pool, hot tub, pool table, and fooseball table were great entertainment for the kids and teens. The kitchen was beautiful with all modern amenities, and the kids absolutely loved the bunk rooms. The property is large with plenty of privacy from neighbors. Jodi and Steve were readily accessible for any questions that arose. The check in and check out process were extremely convenient. There were great hikes nearby. I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone interested in a getaway to Blue Ridge.

Perfect getaway for picky travelers
This house has it all—it feels cozy yet it has TONS of space; it features a peaceful setting yet it's minutes away from sites and activities; it has rustic charm yet has every modern convenience. Thoughtful design from comfortable beds and linens to a wonderfully supplied kitchen made our stay relaxing and fun. We'd recommend this house for adults with or without kids. We're picky when it comes to accommodations and we were 100% satisfied. Jody answered all our questions promptly and more. We couldn't ask for a better first vacation after a more than a year cooped up at home!

Absolutely perfect!
We hosted a small intimate wedding with family in attendance at Southern Orchard, and it was absolutely perfect! The home was accommodating for all the adult couples and children. The kitchen was fully stocked with high end equipment. The pool and hot tub were a huge hit! Everything was gorgeously decorated.

Friends Getaway
You would think a weekend with 13+ adults in a random cabin would be hectic but Jodi made our stay so enjoyable. She was always accessible via text with quick responses. The cabin was BEAUTIFUL. There was ample enough room to have their own space to sleep and lounge around. The cabin was also equipped with everything we needed. If I could give it 10 stars I would. The cabin is exactly as pictured.
