"This hotel is located across the street from the Temple and the commercial district is very walkable. Our room was located in the basement of a very quaint historic building, but it was not clear to us initially that we had to drive to another hotel to pick up the keys. But....we were able to park just outside our room, which was a plus. A/C was great. Breakfast was minimal with no hot food."

"Cabin was well decorated and a fun place to stay. Structurally it is a little questionable with floors/ceilings being uneven. But would stay there again for the price."
Finn's Hideaway - Secluded family home with river view

"The house was a beautiful 18 min drive from Nauvoo. A 14 minute drive to the Walmart in Keokuk and lots of different restaurants. 16 min from Carthage jail.The pictures are accurate it’s a quirky little home. The pool table was nice and there’s plenty of space to sit and enjoy each other’s company.There are only two small problems which would be the stairs coming up as one step that is taller and so we kept tripping over that. The last problem area is that spiral staircase heading up to the master bedroom. Is very and would be hard to bring a large suitcase up and down. We had a small suitcase and it was still a bit sketchy. We i’m so wish there had been a door on the master bedroom. If you have a lot of people visiting downstairs, would not be quiet in your room.Otherwise, the house was enough everything yet out in the middle of the woods where you felt you were private with no neighbors."

"The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean, water pressure was good. But paint was pealing from the ceiling and walls, and the carpet was coming up in some places. Needs to be better maintained."

"The staff were great! Sara the breakfast lady was super friendly. The bathroom had wallpaper peeling off and no exhaust fan. Toilet paper was thin not the nice angel soft we had at another Hampton. Breakfast was very good, lots of options. The luggage carriers disappeared or someone was lazy and didn’t put them back where they belong."

"Our stay was just what we needed for a few days away. The view is fantastic, and the provided binoculars made it all the better. The home is clean and comfy. Although being in a more rural area, the outdoor spaces were a bit buggy and cobwebby. But that was okay for us, as we picked a time when it was 90 degrees every day, so we stayed indoors. There's lots to explore in the area, and we visited many of the small towns nearby and even drove down to Hannibal, Missouri, to see Mark Twain's home. And we went to Eldon, Iowa to see the place where Grant Wood painted American Gothic.If you want a quiet escape, this is the place for you."
