DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel St. Paul Downtown
10/10 Excellent
"Hotel was easy to access with parking close. Room was clean and quiet, didn’t hear other guests at all. The staff were always exceptionally polite and helpful. The gym had all the basics, was clean, and equipment was clean and functional. Overall would stay again. "
"I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the lobby and entrance area was. I loved the decor and layout. There was a restaurant in the hotel that stayed opened late that was so convenient especially the first night we arrived and missed the evening reception. The room was clean and comfortable. I also liked that the front door was kept locked throughout the day and night and is accessible with key card. The fitness area was one of the nicest ones we have encountered."
"Nice river walk just across the street.
Do yourself a favor and walk down to Union station. Great old train station! 3 blocks away.
Hotel does a great job all around."
"The Celeste in St. Paul was great! Tucked into a beautifully restored old convent. You can still feel its history, from artwork by the nuns and stained-glass windows, to the original hardwood floors. My room with a Juliette balcony and a fireplace was fantastic!
The only drawback was the breakfast. Advertised as a hot breakfast including eggs, potatoes, and breakfast meats. Sadly it only included cereal, fruit, toast, and frozen breakfast sandwiches and a microwave.
Would definitely stay here again, but will most likely not plan on having breakfast at the hotel. "
