FALLING WATERS COLO VALE

Welcome to Falling Waters Colo Vale. Colo Vale (colloquially known as the Vale) is situated North of the Historic towns of Berrima, Bowral and Mittagong, 5kms from the Hume Hwy and 125km from Sydney CBD.

The beautiful Southern Highlands is one of the most unique places in NSW. The Highlands are renowned for its history, stunning scenery, wines and pies, beautiful walks and waterfalls.

If you are looking for a romantic weekend, quick getaway, quiet escape in a stunning location, Falling Waters Colo Vale has everything you need. A fully self contained log cabin with open fire, luxury king size bed, kitchen for all your needs.

Richard and Deb are your hosts along with Brent and Mykala and our 4 fur Goldieā€™s. They are often wandering around the property, extremely friendly and rule the roost, there are 14 chickens 8 sheep, 2 Alpacas and we also have resident Wombats which come out late at night if your lucky you might see them! There is so much abundant bird life we just take a guess on what we can hear and see, Kangaroos also pop up for a visit every now and then.

There are NOT a lot of shops near the property, Hill Top which is 5kms up the road which is closest has a Chinese Restaurant and is open most days, the Bakery which also makes chicken, pies, pastries etc, a Newsagent, Post Office and Bottle shop, there is also a take away shop which has really nice Pizzas, there are brochures for you to browse in the manifest in the kitchen. There are plenty of restaurants and supermarkets in Mittagong and Bowral.

As an added bonus we are located 15 minutes away from the Southern Highlands wineries and all that the Southern Highlands has to offer.

Falling Waters Colo Vale is situated on 35 acres, you are free to walk around the property but we ask that if you have a pet with you please keep your pet on a leash due to the fact that the property has a lot of bush and wildlife.

The luxury log cabin is a home away from home and is positioned for privacy from the main house an offers comfort and parking availability. Unfortunately there is no WIFI in the cottage.

The accommodation is literally right next to the main house, the massive shed and all the stockpiles of dirt less than 50 meters away is a site for sore eyes. Photos are deceiving and itā€™s definitely not a little romantic stay.

Cosy and convenient

We used Debā€™s stage an overnight stop to break up our trip with two babies and our dog. It was perfect! Fenced yard for dog to stay in, beautiful bathroom and cosy fire place. We will definitely be staying here again on our trips south to see my in-laws.

Cozy, Comfortable and Quiet

Falling waters was a great overnight stopover to break up our trip. The kids loved driving through the pine tree track to the property and the fireplace kept the cabin nice and warm. The renovated bathroom was lovely and the king bed was very comfortable. Thanks Deb for having us!

Lovely spot

Thank you for a lovely stay, the space was great. We had everything we needed for a quick stopover on our trip. Very accomodating for our late arrival and our dogs had a great spot to run around after a long car journey. The log fire and comfortable chairs were just what we needed. The beds were also very clean and comfortable and the shower was perfect. Thanks Deb

Relaxing getaway with everything you need and more

We had a lovely 3 night stay with our 2 kids and puppy. It is extremely comfortable and cosy with everything you need to just relax. Richard and Deb were very welcoming with allowing the girls to feed the sheep, allowing us to play with their beautiful golden retrievers and have some eggs fresh from the chickens and veges from the garden. Great location to be away from everything or access the Southern Highlands

Great cabin in the woods

A nice little cabin in the woods, surrounded by nice grounds and lush state forest. Falling waters is a drive to anywhere, but that is also part of the charm. I especially appreciated the coffee machine with a generous amount of pods. Thanks Deb.

Wonderful cottage with a tranquil , cosy feel

Deb was a helpful host who ensured we had everything we needed. We travelled with two Great Danes who had a secured yard to explore and flooring was suitable for their beds to be laid in front of a warm pot belly heater. Provisions in the kitchen were useful. Thank you .

Great dog friendly accomodation. Rustic cottage.

We stayed two nights and enjoyed the bush setting. Pity it wasnā€™t cold enough to have the fire on. Lounge comfortable. Has Foxtel but no wifi. Kitchen a bit small if you like to cook. Small fenced area attached to house so easy to toilet the dog. Host helped with fixing gas for hot water. Nice bath tub. Air conditioner and extra blankets available.

Family Catch-up

Clean, comfortable, quiet and affordable place for our inter-generational meet up, suitable for all ages with a fenced yard for our dog. Kids loved seeing the chickens (fresh eggs), sheep and alpacas. About 20 mins drive from Bowral so still accessible to local attractions.
