"They converted what appeared to be a former business, and it was fabulous! Plenty of beds, a kitchen with everything, an outdoor gas firepit, 3 tvs, and an indoor hot sauna were just some of the featues. A group would love this space, although there is just one (nice) bathroom. I'd definitely stay here again! Close to Houghton or Torch Lake / Hubbelll (7 miles) if you are taking the seaplane to Isle Royale."

Even though the house is not large, it is very cozy, convenient, spacious and a huge benefit to have three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. "Beautiful property outside of Houghton with lovely outdoor seating to enjoy nature. House was very clean and well equipped. You are a bit out of town. The listing says Atlantic Mine, but it seems more like Liminga area so plan to drive 15 minutes to restaurants and groceries. The exception was Schmidt's Corner which is 2 miles away and good for dinner and drinks. Overall enjoyable stay."

"The area is so quiet and peaceful. We slept incredibly well. Dragonfly cottage is so cute and tastefully updated. Each room had unique touches. There were plenty of pillows and towels for everyone. "We had a great stay at the Keweenaw Hideout. It has the steep stairs like a lot of the miner houses in Calumet area, of course, so better for older kids who aren’t going to fall easily. It’s on the corner so feels really private, and it’s a quiet neighborhood, which we enjoyed. You don’t hear a lot of traffic. Full bath on ground floor, then a half bath upstairs which was a very nice convenience. (I didn’t have to hear a bunch of fighting over the bathrooms) Had extra blankets for when it gets...

"This is a beautiful modern house on a long, long stretch of golden sand beach. The house has tons of windows and high ceilings so you feel like you are outdoors. It is a two level house so is perfect for larger family or just a couple (one bedroom on the main floor). It’s minutes from a boat launch. There are also smaller inland lakes nearby. The hosts are very nice folks. There is a lot to do in the area in spite of the feeling of being remote. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!"
