"Room was nicer than the pictures, bigger and with a better layout (traditional window to side of bed, rather than at feet). Lovely bathroom, great shower, very clean. Breakfast was fantastic with great variety, but at weekends was extremely busy and there was sometimes a wait for a table. The big downside was the rooftop bar, which on the Friday night we stayed played extremely loud music until past 2am. Earplugs were provided and I had requested a quiet room (after reading similar reviews) but neither helped, it could be heard through earplugs as the bass was reverberating through the building. Also no safe or tea & coffee making facilities in the room."

"At check-in, there was a man and a woman. I clearly arrived before those two guests, but the female receptionist called them both to check in first and asked me to wait there. Then the male receptionist, who had his hair in a braid, pronounced my name in a very strange tone while entering it into the system, which made me feel quite uncomfortable."

"What a wonderful hotel in a beautiful restored old building. The morning breakfast was a highlight, with an array of fresh breads, fruits, cheese and warm dishes in their lovely cafe. Don’t miss dinner in the cafe!!!! Specials thanks to the staff."

"It’s lovely hotel with an excellent restaurant attached, although the ventilation in the rooms could do with a thoroughly deep clean/blowout and check as we all came away with sore throats and colds as the amount of dust was noticeable whenever the various spotlights were on, so we tried to spend as little time in the rooms as possible."
