Tucked along the shoreline of Smith Mountain Lake in a quiet alcove known as Sunset Point, this home offers both relaxation and convenience. With nearby restaurants and a marina within walking distance, you can easily enjoy dining out or launch your boat for a full day on the water.

    Inside, the home is bright, open, and designed for gathering. The main living room features a large sectional, while the lower-level game area offers another comfortable space with a sectional and pool table. The kitchen is well-equipped with ample cabinet space, large appliances, and a dedicated coffee bar, along with bar seating that is perfect for casual meals.

    During the warmer months, spend your days swimming, kayaking with the two provided kayaks, or relaxing on the dock while taking in the lake views. The dining area overlooks the water, and the back decks provide a grill and outdoor dining space for easy al fresco meals. For those mixing work with leisure, the main-level office and fast WiFi make remote work seamless.

Fabulous Lake House

Wonderful Trip

We had a wonderful 2 week stay at the house. The house was clean and fully stocked with everything we needed. The dock was beautiful and we enjoyed all the fish we caught. The house is a lot of fun and perfect for families. We would absolutely stay here again if the opportunity presented itself.

Lake Fun!!! PERFECT LOCATION

Great house. Kids on lower level, adults upstairs. Plenty to do at house. Great place to swim, boat and hang out on the deck! Dog friendly. Light traffic road , great for walking the dog. May rent again!

Perfect Family Getaway

The pictures don't do this property justice; it's amazing beyond belief and an ideal setting for a family getaway. The private dock offered the perfect setting for our kids to play in a fairly remote area of the lake. Though, when we rented a power boat for the day, we could easily access the main areas of the lake and enjoy tubing without being too close to residential areas. It's a great house too, but the water is why I booked it and would certainly go back.

Not Your Average Vacation Rental

I just spent a few days at this lake house, and it was fantastic! The cozy blues and whites inside made it feel so welcoming, and the lake view was stunning. The outdoor dining area with comfy blue cushions and string lights made our evenings special. Plus, the dock was great for swimming and sunbathing! The owners have everything! This place is perfect for a laid-back, relaxing getaway. Can’t wait to come back!

Our spot on the lake

What a perfect spot on the lake! We loved the view from the deck and 2 balconies. So incredible to sit out back on deck overlooking the lake and leaning into pure relaxation. It was wonderful being close to nature and fall’s foliage. We didn’t realize the state park was so close and what a find! Can’t wait to come back to our new spot on the lake! Our dog cannot wait either!!

This home was wonderfully equipped, as a matter of fact they had nice bonuses such as soap, TP, shampoo available so you didn't need anything right away. The only drawback is if you have an issue with stairs. It is 90 stairs to the water. Very safe stairs so I used it as exercise but if you struggle with using stairs this may not be your place. The view is amazing and the home is very confortable

The house is absolutely charming! From the moment we arrived, the cozy ambiance of the house set the perfect tone for a relaxing getaway. The house is beautifully decorated, and we especially loved spending time on the deck, soaking in the views of the lake—it’s the perfect spot for morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. The amenities provided were top-notch, ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay; the kitchen was the most well-appointed I've seen, complete with a pressure cooker, air fryer, and two kinds of coffee makers - a Keurig and a regular coffee maker. The bedrooms were cozy, offering a great night's sleep after days filled with outdoor adventures. We took advantage of the brand-new kayaks; the private dock was great. It's an ideal spot on the lake, and we’re already planning our next visit to this little piece of paradise! Five stars all the way!

The break we needed

We loved staying at the lake house at sunset point. There was plenty of room for us and our pup. The house is nicely appointed and very comfortable and clean. The main bath and kitchen are a little outdated but everything works well still and is in good condition. We were slightly confused by some of the many light switches during our stay. Some of them don’t work/don’t turn on any lights/fans but there is a ton of natural light in the home so it wasn’t a huge deal for us. We sat at the dock every day and loved lounging around with our lab watching the boats go by. Good location relatively close to the White House corner store, Food Lion, restaurants and the state park. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you for having us!

Great Lake House!
