Kinnitty Castle Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"The most amazing place we’ve stayed at while driving through Ireland. It’s a little off the beaten path, but truly such an amazing experience and I’m so glad we found this absolute treasure. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the rooms were gorgeous and clean. The room was spacious and included air conditioning. The castle grounds had walking paths that were magical all around. I wish we could have stayed multiple days, but I’m so grateful for our overnight."

"Hosts were excellent, offering a super guidebook on attractions in the area, and were available to answer questions and offer advice. Their hospitality was amazing!Rental was immaculate and comfortable, and the special touches of fresh flowers, treats, coffee/ teas much appreciated. Highly recommend!"

"A lovely stay. It’s an old hotel with a special vibe but the staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. The food was fantastic and my room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Even though the rooms could do with some refurbishment, this places into insignificance when compared to the great food and lovely staff"

"The car park had very good electric charging at a range of speeds. Parking for hotel guests was in competition with the large conference suite and the leisure club; once conference-goers left there was more space. The room was nice and leisure suite was good. Food was excellent though the hotel ignored my attempts to book a table for dinner until the day of our arrival (I used the messaging process and the form on their own website) and the bar table was not really to our liking (noisy surroundings due to lots of hard surfaces). However staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Breakfast in the restaurant was good; good food and attentive staff."

"This is a lovely farmhouse about a mile outside Birr, County Offaly. The owners are a great couple; the hospitality was fantastic & obvious from the start; there is WIFI; car parking space; room very comfortable; John even charged my electric car; the breakfast was fabulous. This was a better experience than most hotels. We really enjoyed our stay; pity it was just the one night. Overall a brilliant experience."
