"The Montimerso Skyscape was serene. Surrounded by nature and old medieval towns, it was the perfect mini honeymoon getaway. The staff were so nice and welcoming. We felt so at peace. The infinity pool was nice to relax by in the hot afternoons. They have the 2 cutest dogs on the property that come to greet you. At night you are filled with beauty night sky’s and the calm of nature."

"An excellent stay in a beautiful part of Portugal. It was very quiet when we visited and was a great base for a restful time and some stargazing. "

As we signed in at the reception, we were told that the hotel was under a 'soft opening', that meant some of the services weren't working a 100% and that me might find a couple issues, which we hadn't been previously informed of when we made the reservation. "this placc is amazing. An amazing hotel that was resurrected and refurbished with lots of original tile work, very comfortable rooms, great pool and honor bar, classic medieval tight parking and streets. Well situated to jump of and explore this extraordinary town full of kind and interesting people and sights. Great breakfast made by our sweet Filipina hostess. Super helpful front man (sorry to have forgotten his name) gave us a lovely tour and orientation. Wish we had stayed at least 3 nights in Estramoz."

It was a nice place altogether though, with a nicely decorated apartment (albeit with a relatively outdated and not very clean bathroom), a good pool, but the breakfast could be better. Fantastic view from the pool, but there is a lot of construction still underway around the development, the noise was quite disruptive, not great to say the least. It would be interesting to come back after all of these details are sorted, construction finished, etc, to see if this hotel is really worth it."
