Das Hotel vermittelt über seine historische Beschaffenheit eine schöne Atmosphäre. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und erfüllt personalisierte Wünsche. Das Zimmer ist groß genug und das Bad ebenfalls. Das Hotel ist sehr gepflegt und liebevoll gestaltet. Das Restaurant bietet sehr leckere Gerichte an, individuelle Menu- Wünsche werden berücksichtigt. Die Gerichte mit dem Monschauer Senf muss man probieren. Es ist sehr empfehlenswert.

Beautiful hotel in amazing location
The hotel is gorgeous and the location in Monschau is absolutely perfect. I had an amazing view of the lake and the church from my room. The breakfast could have been better, and the blankets were a bit small, but everything else was great.

Great hotel in Monschau, Germany
This is a really nice hotel in a great location in Monschau with a beautiful view from the balcony. A very unique hotel with great service, nice room and the hotel breakfast and restaurant were excellent.

We arrived with children in the cold and rain outside the hotel at 9.24 pm - admittedly late due to unforeseen heavy traffic through Belgium and in appalling weather and driving conditions. The hotel was closed: there were no staff at the hotel , no provided emergency number / no message provided for us despite we’d paid almost £200 for the night in advance. We phoned the hotel number about 15 times - no answer. A resident upstairs in the building heard us and kindly spoke to us and showed us a copy of the check in notice which said the hotel was open for check ins until 4.45 pm - this contrasted with the published check in closure time of 9 pm. We were left abandoned looking for another hotel - finally found a welcome at Michel and friends around 11 pm. On return to Horchem the following morning, the front door was still closed . We could not enter still and again were abandoned outdoors. There were no staff, again no message for us, no breakfast. Only a note on the door for a courier to drop a parcel. No effort was made by the hotel to contact us or check in on us or our welfare during the whole experience. It was a shockingly poor welcome and clear taking of our money under false pretences. Such a pity as the hotel from outside looks really beautiful.

Dear guestWe are sorry you had such an unpleasant experience.It is a pity though that you leave us with this unfair comment. As it clearly states on Expedia a check in is possible until 9pm and we recommend to contact us if you arrive later than 8pm. Our last member of staff who left the hotel left at 9.14pm, a check in until 4.45pm is simply false. I do not know where you got this from.I do not know what number you rang, but we certainly did not have 15 missed calls or any less either - also false or at least exaggerated big time. Nevertheless as you explained to us separately you did not call us either despite knowing the fact that check in is until 9pm. If I were checking into a hotel and would know or at least estimate a late arrival, I would definitely make sure to doublecheck with the hotel in order to avoid a situation that occured to you.However, we will review the process of late arrivals in order to avoid such actually unnecessary inconvenience and are thankful for bringing this up.

Nice little hotel
A pretty setting on a pond in the outskirts of St Vith. An attractive building on the outside, a bit dated and kitsch on the inside but perfectly comfortable. Food was quite good, exceeding expectations. They had a big garage you can leave bicycles in security, if you are riding the Vennbahn. Nothing exceptional but good solid value for money.

Memorable stay at Horchem, Monschau
The staff have been amiable and very helpful, especially in bring up and down of our luggages. Most of all, they have arranged transport from the hotel to the bus stop. Imagine the difficulty to pull the heavy luggage along streets of cobblestones, this is really a kind and thoughtful arrangement. Finally, the menu for the set dinner is good in terms of quality and quantity.

Comfortable traditional hotel in the centre of town. Good dinner supplemented by excellent breakfast. Only issue I had was that the credit card machine did not accept my card and I had to pay cash.

Great hotel in historic town
Stayed for one night. Great hotel with really helpful staff, we had a lovely 2 bedroom apartment with full living quarters on the 3rd floor, well equipped. Hotel is right in centre of the town very convenient for sightseeing. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was top quality - we made quite a few specific food requests and the staff accomodated all. Really impressed by the history of the building and surroundings. Overall a great hotel with really helpfull staff.

Center of town. Classic traditional German hotel
No elevator, so pack lightly.Excellent restaurant and breakfast. Nice and caring staff. Room was very comfortable. Although the pillows were so soft you may as well sleep without one.. but overall these folks pay attention to detail. The location is central . Gorgeous national park around it.

Schönes Hotel für den Aufenthalt für 2-3 Tage. Aber nicht für Menschen mit Schwierigkeiten beim Treppensteigen geeignet, da es keinen Aufzug gibt.

Very good service, very nice and friendly management, A-location. Rooms however are a bit outdated. Bed was fine, but power outlets were inconvenienced placed (no outlets near the bed in my room). Overall I would recommend this hotel.

Het appartement was karig ingericht. Erg kaal in de leefruimte. En veel op- en afstapjes in het appartement.slaapkamer was netjes net zoals de badkamer. Voor de prijs van 220 per nacht zou je meer verwachten. Locatie was mooi. Parkeergarage ligt op de rand van het oude dorp.prijs per dag is 7€.

Je zit hier midden in een prachtig oud stadje en een berg en bosrijke omgeving. Om iet grotere afstand is er bijzoonder veel te doen. De restaurants zijn hier overige eenvoudig.
