"This is a really big property where you can sleep with many people. There are two living rooms, artist studio, dining room, etc. The setup is a bit odd/strange. "Very pretty area even if a little noisy from restaurants nearby. 10 mins walk from the train station. If you have lots of luggage it's best to let the owner know in advance, because there's no elevator (but he was extremely kind and brought my luggage up for me :-). A lovely stay!"

Beautiful rural villa

"The rural setting was perfect - so peaceful - just what we needed. A soaring buzzard and a few tiny lizards in the garden were the only regular visitors 😂!! We loved the house and it was very well equipped, especially in the kitchen with lots of thoughtful touches. The pool is fabulous - a really good size. As it’s not heated, it maybe a tad brisk on cooler days but great as the weather heats up. There were all sorts of games available- including a table tennis table, badminton and a football - all great to keep family entertained on relaxing days by the pool. The upstairs rooms are all beautifully done and very spacious. The large lounge is great for relaxing and watching TV together after a long day out. Downstairs has a more traditional toilet and bathroom and also has a nice updated and spacious bedroom similar to the upstairs ones. Jenny is a lovely host and was very helpful and quick to respond to all my emails. The Welcome pack was very well out together and had a lots of useful info for our stay. We specifically chose the rural location for the tranquility and we were not disappointed. There is beautiful surrounding countryside with sunflower fields and vineyards. Bergerac airport, town and supermarket are all within 20-25mins which is great. Some of the places we wanted to visit (Rocamadour, Padirac caves, Sarlat) were 2-3hrs by car but well worth a visit. Overall, we had a fabulous holiday and would love to go back again as La Roche is a real gem."
