"I checked in early but was unable to get a 1 st floor room despite telling the agent stairs were very difficult for me. I was told Since I booked with Expedia they could not change the room. There was no elevator. Somehow I missed that about the location. If I had been traveling alone I would not have been able to navigate the stairs with my luggage etc…The room was clean— the downside— bad pillows mushy mattress, also a wall AC unit that was not working properly. The temp kept changing and in AM was noisy & blowing 63 degree air after trying to set at 68. I felt the location safe, liked the river view and ample parking. We did not have the breakfast so nothing to comment on. The Coffee and tea in the room was nice. Great location for easy access to town or going north to Copper Harbor."

"The attention to detail in the refurbishment of the Victorian mansion shows. The suite was beautiful, comfortable, and well appointed with thoughtful modern conveniences. The breakfast each morning was next level: beautiful, delicious, thoughtful, and elegant. David and Zach are wonderful hosts! We will stay again!"
