It’s a lovely base and there is plenty locally if you need a break for the huddle and bustle of NY. There is a train line that easily takes you into NY, maybe an hour to get there on the train






If you're spending some time in Upper Montclair, Alexander Kasser Theater and Presby Memorial Iris Gardens are top sights worth seeing.

We arrived a few hours early and expected to wait, but they were still able to check us in an hour ahead of time and even upgraded our room, which was a very nice surprise.
