- Escape to Mountain Thyme Cabin, a peaceful Monteagle retreat where wooded surroundings, pond views and cozy cabin living make it easy to slow down and stay awhile. Conveniently located just minutes from Sewanee and some of the South Cumberland area’s best hiking, waterfalls and outdoor adventures, this spacious cabin is perfect for families (even with pets!), friends and weekend getaways.
Mountain Thyme comfortably sleeps up to 8 guests with two bedrooms plus a game-filled upstairs loft. The oversized primary bedroom features a king bed, while the downstairs guest room offers a queen bed and private outdoor access. Upstairs, the loft includes four bunk beds along with toys and a classic arcade game, making it a favorite hangout for kids.
The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need for meals at home, with a large dining table where everyone can gather. After a day of exploring, settle into the cozy living room or step outside and enjoy the spaces that truly make Mountain Thyme special.
Sip your morning coffee on the screened porch, relax overlooking the pond, watch for deer and other wildlife from the covered back porch, or spend the evening around the fire pit beneath the trees. Head down to the private dock to fish, feed the catfish or take the paddle boat out for a peaceful trip around the pond.
