He gave us restaurant suggestions and suggestions on what to visit in Tivoli, including the times of day when sights are open. The room was recently remodeled, but in an old building that had been in his family for generations. Like many old Italian village homes, there is no lift, and there are stairs. "La Cucina exceeded our expectations in every way. Our family gathered from three places in Europe and the US to meet for time together mixed with seeing the best of Rome. This place is just as the photos suggest. We cooked in the magnificent kitchen and grilled on the oven / grill outside. We played pickle ball and the kids went swimming. Our host were available and always gracious. We are so thankful for the time we shared at the dining table and living room. And we played cards in the well stocked game room until late into the night. And Rome!!! for days was amazing."

"We were treated wonderfully by the staff! Paolo was very accommodating. We were lost, late, confused and had heavy bags and he went above and beyond to ensure we got to our room safely and securely. The room itself was a bedroom in an apartment building (not a “hotel” style which may be important feedback for travelers). Such a great little Italian town. Not entrenched with tourists like the bigger cities which was perfect - so much to do nearby! Grazie!"
