Great, quiet place to stay

It’s walking distance from a lot of parks and nice view points. We went to the aquarium which was only 5 minutes from there. We would stay again!

We stayed here two nights on a family road trip with 2 adults and 2 teens. The space is smallish but worked for our needs. We appreciated the location — easy to everywhere we wanted to visit. The beds were comfortable and the room and bathroom with nice a clean. The room lighting was extremely bright so be aware of that if you’re sensitive to that sort of thing. Overall we had a great stay!

We loved this sweet, quaint inn. The owners were absolutely lovely and sweet. We were very comfortable and LOVED the big shower. The bed was a perfect firmness and we slept great. The boxes of flowers on the porch were so pretty! The breakfast was great to grab as we headed out. Close to downtown but far enough to be quiet and peaceful! Thank you!

Nice place

We came to the area for a weekend long event so only came to sleep. The room was comfortable and the staff was friendly. We left before breakfast was available. There was always a parking spot available. It would have been nice to soak in a jacuzzi after a long day but otherwise, everything was good!

Stinky Shower Drain & Moldy Bread

When turning on hot water for the shower (as you do) the drain in the shower STANK. It smelled like garbage on a hot day. The drain is in dire need of cleaning please do remedy that- when I shower I want to relax not literally gag from the stench. My second issue is that the white bread put out for the breakfast literally had mold on it. How do you manage to put out and serve moldy bread? Otherwise, bedding and towels were clean. Bed was comfy. Checking in and out was easy. The location is convenient for visiting nearby beaches, Monterey, and Carmel. Easy walk to the beach from the hotel.

Property was a little run down, but could tell the bathrooms had been recently renovated. Our beds were actually on some wooden slats instead of an actually bed box. Breakfast was fair. Staff was nice. We got assigned a room that had a broken window blind shingle, so it didn’t allow us full light coverage nor privacy. Surely, we could’ve been given another room.

STEER CLEAR

Comfortable location. Weekend rates are beyond astronomical for the services you receive. The Internet quit working and took over four hours to return service. The front desk said it was due to a local power outage which does not sound remotely believable. **Check your hotel bill.** I was overcharged by $97.50 for "Miscellaneous" and neither the hotel nor Choice Hotels Corporate are able to give a reason.
