Friendly staff, clean room, nice location, and a really nice breakfast with hot food. Buuuuuut the elevators do not stop on each floor. We had to drag luggage up and down stairs. Annoying! The room is good, but the walls are thin. We could hear everyone's carts, luggage and footsteps. Also no pool ...

Portola Hotel & Spa at Monterey Bay
staff were polite but the bathtub was too dirty to take a bath in and the power in our room kept coming on and off. Not as nice as I expected.
