"We really loved our stay here - not sure why the reviews are so bad. The farmhouse has been renovated and is gorgeous - you have a bedroom with another bed on a mezzanine for the kids. "It was a great place. It is a room in an apartment independent from the other rooms. Everything was brand new and clean. It was easy to find and arrive from the Autostrada. It is in a residencial area. Quiet, great WiFi. The host was very fast. He send me a couple of messages to find out when we were arriving. He came in 5 minutes to open the apartment and give us instructions. There is a good restaurant very close that he suggested. Overall experience was excellent. I recommend. "

I had to pay for overnight parking in a public garage.....which cost almost $30 for the night. Also, Livingston’s is really a B and B, not a hotel, and, as such, was difficult to find because, even though it’s on the Main Street in Matera, there was only a small sign attached to the building to identify it. "This hotel was amazing and the service was even better. We decided to walk through Matera from the parking structure to the hotel but got lost. One of the staff members walked out to find us and bring us to the hotel. Then, because it was late, he called a local restaurant and asked them to keep the kitchen open while we hurried down to have dinner. "
