Canopy Wonders House: A Place Among Tree Tops!

The house has three rooms each with a Queen bed. Two of the bedrooms have private full bathrooms, while the third shares a full bathroom with the common area. The whole house has solar (electricity backed-up) heated hot water. Also a fully equipped kitchen, dinning area, washing machine/dryer and a common area with satellite TV and WiFi.

The house has wrap around balconies and is built on stilts that place it in the trees canopy and gives it a feeling and view like no other house. The interior of the house is furnished and decorated with unique handmade pieces tailored specifically for the house that make the place an attraction in itself.

It is located on a large property, there are other rental houses on the property but out of shouting distance to provide each with privacy. Just up the road from the property there are several restaurants, a small supermarket, art galleries and souvenir shops. Also in the area there are several attractions such as private reserves, a butterfly garden, night tours and others.

Interaction with Guests:

Our hostess will confirm your reservation, meet you for check in and help with any questions you might have about the house, the area, tour options, dining suggestions on anything else you might need. We will leave you to yourself once checked in but are available at any moment for any questions or help you may need.

Getting Around:

Most attractions offer transportation but there are also taxis on call or just up the road and a public bus that runs between Santa Elena and the Monteverde Reserve. If you are driving 4x4 is not required but is highly recommended not just for Monteverde but for Costa Rica in general (or at least a car with good ground clearance).

This place was a magical place to stay, and we wish we could have stayed longer. It is very spacious and comfortable for larger families. It was very clean and had all of the helpful amenities (laundry soap, towels, shampoo, stocked kitchen, etc). The setting of the home is incredible and we loved seeing monkeys, coati, and beautiful birds right from our balcony. I would absolutely stay here again.

Amazing property and great stay in Monteverde

Loved our stay here. Host Danielle was great and provided us with excellent support through the arrival and check in process. The place is set amongst trees in nature with unique woodwork inside the house.

Hidden Gem with All the Things!

We had a lovely stay in the Canopy Cabin! Our host was above and beyond with communication; thank you, Daniela! The cabin rooms with on-suite baths made for a perfect stay with the family. It had everything we needed for a relaxing stay and the property is located near some delicious restaurants.

Magical Stay

It is the most magical place we have ever stayed. The attention to detail is beyond anything I have seen in a rental property. Beyond the beauty, it was spotless and Daniela was an amazing hostess always communicative and ready to help. Beautiful house and location

The house is gorgeous, better than the photos. It's deep in the wild and you will see plenty of critters. It's quite a bit of a walk into town, but there is a small grocery store and a few restaurants nearby. Host is very responsive.

Wonderful house hidden in the forrest

Several groups of monkeys entertained us at this hideaway. Daniela couldn't have been a more hospitable host. We had a great time.

Exceeded my expectations.

We were all thrilled with the accommodations. We felt like we were staying in a big treehouse-so close to nature and beautiful birds, monkeys and coatis. There were porches all around the home and windows galore. We can back to the home each night so that we could enjoy the beautiful space.Daniella was very communicative and helpful!We loved our stay.

Enjoyed our 2 night stay. Property experience was great. Monkeys visit daily. The wood craftmanship of Canopy Wonders is impressive. Host was very responsive, arranged our tours, cooked us breakfast in the park!

Tree Top Paradise

What a beautiful and unique home, filled with intricate woodwork and a thoughtfully designed space. Check in was a breeze, the location is very convenient for access to all of the local wonders.

Secluded but accessible

Property is quite unique in design and memorable. Although a bit off the beaten path it is quite close to town and other attractions. You hear and see wildlife (monkeys, coatis, birds) and there is a lot of room that allows private accommodations for 3 separate couples. I would suggest flashlights be provided (short power outage and at night the premises outside are quite dark). No cleaning during 3 days there, but not really an issue. Kitchen is well equipped and overall place is comfortable and a good value for larger group.

Fun to watch the monkeys

The property is just outside of town. Would recommend a car to get around. It is a bit tricky to find after dark. The manager sent us detailed instructions to help and met us at the property to check in. Lots of monkeys to watch just outside on our decks. The furniture in the living room is a bit hard for sitting, but a great place to stay if you are looking for nature. Highly recommend.

Beautiful house in the forest

My wife and I stayed here for two nights and everything was great! The house was set up very well and had everything we needed. Daniela the host was very friendly and a great communicator. She sent a guide to the area with several recommendations and even booked a night hike for us. The house was very private and secluded. I would highly recommend this place!

Unique house in great location

Unique home on stilts surrounded by decks and full of amazing woodworking. The owner made beautiful furnishings, counter, sinks, doors and woodwork out of amazing trees. We were close to town, but felt like we were living in the jungle with visits from monkeys and gorgeous birds.

Clean and great house

Nice house with beautiful trees all around. First day we were greeted by three coatis and an agouti. The location is convenient to get to Monteverde Cloud Forest. We went zip lining in Selvatura and it was amazing. I would highly recommend. Daniela the hostess was very nice and helpful.

Great Christmas!

We had a wonderful stay at Daniela's Canopy Wonders House! What a unique property nestled into the natural landscape...we were greeted in the mornings by monkeys, agoutis, and coatis amongst many tropical birds while sitting outside on the porches. The property is quiet but easily accessible to the Monteverde town center. Daniela is an excellent host, the house is impeccably clean with amazing wood work throughout. Do not miss a night tour or day time tour with George, your vacation will not be complete without it! We hope to come back to Monteverde again! Pura Vida!

Great place and central location

The house was perfect. We had our two kids (3 & 5) and my dad with us and the three bedroom house was great. Well furnished, clean, and the host Daniela was amazing. The location took us a minute to find (Waze and Google Maps don’t have accurate directions) but Daniela gave us a video of the route showing where to turn. Once we found it, it was easy. It’s very close to many restaurants, has a playground across the street, and a short drive to any of the major attractions. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

You must stay in this treehouse

I can’t adequately describe how magical Canopy Wonders is. Located in the treetops of Monteverde, the artistry and craftsmanship of the house is incredible. Daniela was a wonderful host, made reservations for a private night hike for us, and provided recommendations for great restaurants in the area. You must order Abuela’s breakfast too. So Delicious. We would definitely stay here again and tell everyone we know.

So impressive

This home is beyond impressive! It deserves more than 5 stars. The detailed creativity and craftsmanship that went into building such a beautiful home was appreciated by our family. So thankful to have experienced it! Just gorgeous. I've never seen a more clean home. The video they shared to find the home helped very much.

Magical house in the Forrest

This is a beautiful house - close to the end of town but totally secluded feeling. You wake up to the amazing bird and insect sounds with trees showcased in the floor to ceiling windows. Daniela was a great host, very communicative and available. The park across the way is an extra bonus for the kids . Their was so much care and detail and creativity in building the house. Highly recommend. Nearby restaurants Nativo, Escondido and de Lucia were all great.

Truly a Canopy of Wonders

What a unique place to stay. So much attention to detail with the custom woodwork and furniture. And the place was spotless when we arrived. Thrilling to be sitting 15-20 feet up in the trees - huge, expansive windows in every room, decks outside every room. Each bedroom has its own wing. The backyard birding and other creatures were abundant. 15-20 species of birds, coatis, agoudis, monkeys. And so close to everything around Santa Elena and Monteverde.

Best VRBO I have ever stayed in.

Daniela was an excellent host. We had a nail in a tire and her father came to the rescue. The communication and support from the host was "second to none". The setting was in the middle of the rainforest with decks on every side of the house. Each time we went out we saw and heard birds and one time even had monkeys entertain us. The site was convenient to reach all of our excursions in the Monteverde area and there we a couple of excellent restaurants within walking distance. We could not have asked for a better stay.

Beautiful home, great stay

My family (two kids, ages 13 and 10) stayed here for two nights during our trip. The house is absolutely beautiful and so unique. We loved that all three bedrooms had massive windows and a wrap-around deck. Having my morning coffee on the deck while listening to the birds was a big highlight! The host, Daniela, was very responsive and reached out to me a month ahead of time to provide suggestions and tours. She was also quick to help me when we were struggling to find the house. Much appreciated! Overall, we had a very nice stay. The home and quiet surroundings made for a very unique experience!
