The hotel and grounds were kept in immaculate condition. We were greeted by the front desk staff eagerly and they offered a lot of help as we checked in and later booked some excursions in the area. All of the staff that we interacted with were friendly, polite and helpful. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed. The room we stayed in was an older room located on the ground floor below the restaurant area. The room was comfortable and had a nice private outdoor terrace overlooking the gardens. The room felt like it could use a modern refresh, but it was functional. The hotel also had a fantastic orchid room that had fresh air and calming natural light. This room felt underused despite it being set up for dining or drinks. The restaurant on site has a wood burning fireplace for ambiance in the evening, and has a lovely large open air seating area to enjoy happy hour drinks while watching the sunset, or enjoying breakfast.

The setting is beautiful and the restaurant is amazing! The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had two fantastic tours with Donald, who was a limitless source of knowledge and enthusiasm. His tours were a major highlight because he was so excited to share the local wildlife with us. All in all a very peaceful and relaxing stay.
