Good hotel in Punta Carretas, close to everything. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. It is a bit older and worn, (the sink in room 508 was cracked and patched). Also there were almost no available sockets for charging our devices. The spa was great, offering at and dry sauna, whirlpool and massages. The breakfast buffet is OK, some bread options, scrambled eggs, potatoes with onions, cereals, fruit, artificial orange juice, apple juice, coffee was not great though. All in all, it is good enough to explore Montevideo easily.

Room was quite outdated, floor had cracks and our balcony was covered with rocks and there were no furnitures. Bed was big and comfortable, room was quite spacious. Breakfast was great with many options, only thing lacking was hand sanitizer.

Swimming pool closed - one of the main reasons I booked this hotel. Bed uncomfortable, plus sheets didn’t fit properly. Some items in the bedroom were broken. Some of the reception staff were not hugely friendly. Breakfast was good and the staff in there were very friendly. Satellite tv channels was also a bonus

The room allocated was large and very agreeable with large windows. The street not very busy and quiet. Breakfast had a good selection and having a restaurant is handy on days you are tired to go out again after sightseeing. The only problem was the smell of sewage from the bathroom. They fixed it but lasted 1 day then the smell came back. This seems to be a common occurrence all around Uruguay, from our experience after 2 weeks here.

Check in staff should be friendlier. Hotel has great amenities, I cannot comment on this. Our biggest issues the consistent concern with the funky smell from the washroom. We had to close the door at night and plug any orifice that had a drain. Not sure why this is like this. Might be some serious plumbing issue.

Positive experience.

While the hotel's location is extremely convenient, in an area that invites you to walk around, and the adjacent restaurant is surprisingly good, I was a little disappointed in the bathroom's condition - it is clearly warned out, needing some maintenance, the bath gel dispenser in the shower was not refilled, and the shower water was lukewarm, at best. On the other hand, the hotel's gym is very well equipped, the staff is super friendly, and they allowed me a late check out. Internet connection is good. The breakfast offers some good options. In general, it was a positive experience. It was my third time staying at the hotel, and here's a tip: if possible, as for a corner room, they are the best ones.
