Lac qui Parle is only about 15 minutes away and is a well known destination for fishing, hunting, birdwatching, and wildlife viewing. The area includes Lac qui Parle State Park, which offers fishing, canoeing, bird watching, and access to the lake, along with the nearby Lac qui Parle Wildlife Management Area, a large public land area popular with hunters and outdoor enthusiasts.
