"I have never had so many issues at a property and could have overlooked it but first no one ever answers the reception when needed. At checkin I asked about dinner and was told that the restaurant opens at 9:30 pm and the bar at 11:00 pm. I said this is really late to go to dinner. Then I had some questions later to see if this was correct among other things and no one picks up at reception. The rooms are not easy to get to and the elevators are slow so going back and forth is not convenient. Also when leaving I asked for a taxi to another hotel and was ordered a car service at twice the price of which I was not quoted. I specifically stated I do not need a service just a regular taxi, which the service cost twice as much as a regular taxi. When I called to complain, again no one picks up. If there is ever an emergency in this vast tower property, it is a potential liability for management. The Holiday Inn Towers did pickup each time and stated they would have quoted the price before ordering the car and offered options. Each time the Towers property would contact the Express for me. I do not recommend this property despite convenience for concerts and its proximity to the financial district. All in all a very frustrating 24 hours of stay."
