Excellent place to stay in Montreal. Check in was easy, room was clean and a great location. The employees working the front desk were very friendly. We didn’t get to try the restaurant downstairs but every time we walked into the lobby the smell coming from the restaurant was incredible. Would definitely stay here again!

This is definitely an older hotel, but was still clean and in good shape. It is about a block from the Metro line, which was very helpful. It is a good hotel if you don't want to be smack in the middle of things, but still close to public transit.

We stayed five nights. The rooms are very spacious, with excellent storage and two very comfortable queen beds. Bathrooms are spotless, well maintained and renovated. Front desk helped us find special things, like an old books store. The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of downtown Montreal.

The attached coffee shop offered poor service by seemingly disinterested employees serving hot food that was cold and lukewarm coffee. The hotel itself was great. A good location for hockey and football games. A great breakfast can be had just down a half block at the Universal Cafe.
