The hotel was a good size for a group of 10 people, and the location was convenient. However, it was an old house that had been converted into a hotel, so there was no elevator. There was also no parking available, which was inconvenient.
Unfortunately, we found bugs in the hotel, and some of the furniture was not very sturdy. The bed frame and table legs were loosely put together with nails and actually collapsed, so we had to fix them ourselves. Since we were staying with children, the exposed nails were especially concerning and could have been dangerous.
That said, the staff were extremely nice, friendly, and helpful, which we really appreciated.
Overall, the location and space were good for a large group, but the hotel definitely needs some improvements, especially in terms of cleanliness, safety, and maintenance.

This is a very old building that has seen better days. I found the staff really friendly and helpful... the basics were fine (e.g. bedding and toilet were clean, TV worked, check-in was easy, etc.)... there were lovely little architectural features stemming from the building's history... and the location was great for what I needed. But I felt like I was "roughing it" a bit during this stay. There was a bit of mould in the shower, and the towel had somebody else's hair on it. The window AC unit was VERY loud and the tube kept unlatching itself from the unit and making the room incredibly hot. There were no empty outlets, so I was constantly juggling between charging my devices and being able to use the basic amenities. There were no bedside lamps (likely due to the limited outlets), so I was stuck with harsh overhead lighting at nighttime if I wanted to be able to see. The stairs to get to the front door, and then again to the room, are very steep. It wasn't the worst I've ever experienced, but I don't think I'll stay here again.
A friendly and helpful staff made my stay there most excellent. I would have preferred a genuine brass room key. And one for the front door as well. But that's the modern world I guess. In any case the hotel was very nice and I love the neighborhood.
Worst hotel experience ever. Even after 4pm someone else’s luggage were still in my room and toilet was dirty. It took a simple code to enter the room (no key card, so anyone who knew the code had access).
A repairman sas causing a racket just on the other side of my door after 11pm and at 4:15am a guy kept pounding violently on the outside door, maybe too drunk to remember the door’s access code. The puriste door was then slammed shut around 5:30am.
I tried to contact the owner but never even got a reply. That experience has been awfully bad and I will never go back there again.
