"We loved the halfling house. The overall impression was awe-inspiring, but as we soaked in the little details, the richness just deepened. Nothing failed to transport us to Middle Earth: the architecture, furniture, the curtains, the dishes, the fixtures. Every little decoration tickled me, from the books, to the games, to the light switch plates, to the figurines. Amazing! We watched the LOTR trilogy, cooked some hobbity meals, and dressed up in costumes the host has available for pictures. This trip was one of the coolest things we’ve ever done. "

"It is an older home as indicated in the listing, but it was very clean and well maintained. The host did great communicating and helped with our unique accommodations. The home is within walking distance to the temple, downtown, and the few restaurants that are in Nauvoo. The home also had a great history and story that was hanging on the wall which really made the stay extra special knowing what role it played in the history of Nauvoo."

"Perfect place to stay for a family wanting to visit historic Nauvoo! We enjoyed the pioneer feel of the apartment and were pleasantly surprised (we didn't realize before we arrived) that it's incredibly close to the Nauvoo temple. It made it easy for both my husband and I to take a turn going to the temple while the other stayed with the younger children, as the other could simply walk to the temple. "
