"We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful lake house. It’s a perfect blend of what a casual lake house ought to be — with high quality amenities. Unlike many more sterile VRBO places that we have stayed in over the years, this home is saturated in love, warmth, and hospitality. You can tell that the owners love this place. It’s very family friendly while still offering high quality living space. If you love to cook their kitchen is a dream! They have every conceivable utensil you could possibly want plus all kinds of wonderful and helpful appliances—not just a coffee maker, but an espresso machine! The purpose of our trip was to visit our son, who is currently a professor at a local university here in the Minneapolis area. This rare gem allowed us to immediately settle in and enjoy our time together as a family. The host's attention to detail for making is feel welcome included a wonderful white bow tied around the mailbox as well as instructions on how to use the kayaks (great fun! Highly recommend!) The lake house is conveniently located so you really feel like you are out in the woods in the middle of nowhere, but in reality you are three minutes from all manner of restaurants and conveniences. While Gleason Lake is not great for swimming, you can kayak and paddle board. The wide variety of water birds is amazing! We enjoyed the nightly sunsets. Even the day it poured rain was fun and rejuvenating. This is a true home away from home with generous and kind hosts."

"Great house to rent. Very comfortable and roomy. Would be great for a large group. Very private street. Owner was very responsive and helpful. The BBQ was actually an open fire grill which didn't work for our needs but would work if you plan ahead for it."

"This VRBO is an excellent location in Wayzata MN... very walkable, and a couple of blocks up from Lake Minnetonka. Very open floor plan and accommodates guest easily with 1st floor bedrooms. A few tweaks would make this rental even better... kitchen cutlery provides only 4-6 people, bath towels are a bit limited and look worn, the living room sectional is showing its age and isn't very comfortable and the TV is a real let down. This TV is extremely cheap, very slow to respond to inputs, and doesn't work reliably... this seems like an easy fix and investment. With the cost per night for this property, some fairly minimal updates would make this from good to great."

"Beautiful home in a great setting. Quiet neighborhood close to anything you need. Plenty of towels, toilet paper, paper towels, etc. Host even had shampoo, toothpaste, makeup remover sheets and more for us to use. Check out process was the simplest I’ve ever experienced. Host was very responsive to questions. Only complaint was the cleanliness could be better. Most of the house was very clean, but a few places seem to have been missed. Also, heavily fragranced when we got there. Aired it out a bit and that helped. "

"Overall, we had a good experience. Location is great. Beds were comfortable. The place could have used a bit of a deep cleaning, especially the floors. The outside area was fine but lots of spider webs. The main area needs more seating. We are a family of 4, with two younger kids, and we felt a bit cramped. Communication with the host was good and he responded quickly to any messages we sent. "
