"The staff was unbelievably helpful, polite, just top notch. If I could remember each of there names I would publicly thank each one them for helping make my stay be the best it could possibly be. As for the food, I'm not a world traveler or anything but absolutely delicious. Some of the best dishes I've ever had. The property could use a little tlc but I love that it's in the country, made me feel at home. I would definitely stay here again in the future."

"Wonderful stay. My first time in Mons – to see the WW1 sites - and I could not have chosen a better place. A modern, stylish and comfortable hotel, right in the heart of town. And with parking too! It was the perfect spot for our adventures - and a lively restaurant and wide menu to end our day. Would love to come back. Thank you Van der Valk"

"what was once a truely stunning building in the centre of vallencines, this lovely characterful building is showing signs of a tiny bit of TLC. Everything was spot on but just missing the mark somehow"

"The Staff was a mixed bag ranging from ok to incredible. A lady at the desk who wears glasses and name started with an H along with the two ladies who were the cleaning crew were superb! They seem to switch out their entire staff every couple days. This is not necessarily bad, in fact service was still good! It’s just no one ever matched H’s service and enthusiasm on day 1 and 2! We did note on weds or thurs there may have been a change in chef. The scrambled eggs were the consistency of egg drop soup that day. The rooms were fun and eclectic, and everything seemed very clean! Bed was comfortable. We would definitely stay again !"
