Do not recommend
This property was not clean at all. There was mold above the shower, pesticide on the floors, glue traps throughout the home, roaches, trash under the beds and behind furniture. Listed as pet friendly but definitely not. Didn’t even try to enjoy the pool after being so disgusted by the property. Left early as it didn’t seem safe for my kids and my pets.

Great location
We had a great stay home was clean. The host was fantastic! Loved being able to see all the animals and it has a pool! It was close enough to all the city’s to be able to travel out. My only “complaint” using that word loosely is the bed when you first walk in wasnt the best. And being in the basement she has dogs upstairs and being a very light sleeper sometimes made it hard to get to sleep as well as my toddler but overall fantastic!

Relaxing Get Away
We enjoyed our stay, even though it rained and was very windy, we just wanted to chill. We did go to the Ark Encounter, which was just 20 minutes away. Our dogs were very comfortable as well. Thanks Jennifer for a very relaxing time!

Morning View provided a relaxing, scenic, and well-supplied stay while checking out local attractions. The salt water pool was clean and a big plus on hot afternoons. The farm animals and friendly dogs gave young inquiring minds plenty of cute.

Loved the country air!
Overall we had a good visit! The farm was fun and the pool was the highlight! The biggest challenge we had was that the queen air mattress was not usable and that resulted in an adult having to sleep on a two seater couch.

The smell
We were so excited to stay at the alpaca farm. I took my two daughters (11,9) and my niece (9) on a trip to the arc and thought it would just make the trip even more cool to stay at an alpaca farm! They were so excited. When we got there, the smell of the apartment was the first thing I noticed. It was kind of mildewy/musty smell. But I figured it’s a basement and sometimes they smell mildewy. Then I started noticing things. The freezer had red stuff spilled all over the bottom (I messaged the owner right away about that so she didn’t think it was ours.) The girls kept calling me into rooms to kill spiders. There were webs all over the place. Still, I just wanted the girls to have a fun trip, so just going to deal with it. The swimming pool was great, the owners were very nice and polite. Their dogs and cat were very sweet. Then we went back into our apartment for a bit to take a nap and we’re surprised that they allowed their dog to bark nonstop for two hours straight. I couldn’t believe it…It was nonstop. We went back out to go swimming and we were surprised when the pool, we thought was ours privately to use for the weekend, had like 8-10 people show up to swim. The final straw came when we were going to bed. The girls were upset because the pillows smelled sour. Then came an AWFUL SMELL!! The place started to have a septic-like smell that was so bad that the kids were wanting to leave then (11pm) then the dog started to bark again. I just couldn’t believe what was happening. I stayed up till 1am looking for hotels. I got up super early, cleaned and packed everything up in the morning before our ark trip (wanted to be there at 9am) and checked out a day early not even knowing where we would stay the next night. I informed the homeowner about it and have heard no response. I lost out on the money I paid for the second night, and then having to pay for a hotel, all the food I had to throw away that I had bought for our weekend there. I would hope to get a refund for at least the night we didn’t stay, but not expecting that due to the fact that there has been no response to us even leaving.

Great location for a quiet getaway in the country. Pool was nice and relaxing with nice view . We enjoyed seeing the animals on the property and petting the donkeys that came up to the fence. Made our own food in the kitchen but there is a nice little diner in town with great food and shakes/ice cream. Not too far from the Ark Encounter. Only thing I wish I had was access to laundry and tv in second bedroom. Overall a nice place to stay for a few nights.

Pleasantly Surprised
I’ve never been to Kentucky or stayed on a farm before, so I didn’t know what to expect. But I was pleasantly surprised! This atmosphere provides such a serene, peaceful environment that everyone should be lucky enough to try to experience. I‘ve never stayed in a basement apartment either, until I came here. I didn’t know a basement could be so cozy! This place seems like it’s in the middle of nowhere, but it’s conveniently located. It’s not far from the Ark Encounter, or the Creation Museum which is why we visited Kentucky. It was also fun getting to know the animals; especially Oliver the pig, and Walter the dog! The only thing that was missing is that there was no washer and dryer and no satellite tv. Also you can hear the people living upstairs at times, but other than that I would recommend it and wouldn’t mind coming back!

Just the quiet spot we were looking for!
We appreciated this environmentally responsible rental on a laid back farm. The front door needs work, and the stone lane could use some attention, but we weren't bothered by it. The price was right, and we are thankful to have a private spot for our kids to run and play!

A great place for overnight close to the Ark
We were here one night. The home is located in a beautiful, quiet area. It's a lovely apartment located in the basement. Comfortable bed, nice big bathroom, kitchen to make a quick, small meal.

Not what we expected. You have to walk down a hill to basement, which rock slabs had been put down but not level. The bed coverings and pillows stunk as well as basement. There were spiders and black and pink mold in showers. There were a few alpacas, sheep and cows. The farm was a mess. Will not be recommending to anyone. We gave up the 2nd night and stayed at a motel, couldn't bare it again.

Extremely clean and comfortable basement apartment. Very quiet with beautiful surroundings. A bit difficult to locate but once we entered Radical Farm into GPS we found it. Only negative is the rather steep incline to the door. Could be tricky for elderly otherwise it was lovely!

We planned on going to ARK encounter one day and Creation Museum next day and this was 1/2 way in between!! And staying on a farm with sheep and el pacas made it even more fun for our 10yo grandson. Owner responded quickly to questions. Very clean and comfortable!

We only stayed one evening. We travel with our dogs and the farm was a great location for us to stay and check out the Ark. The kids loved the alpacas and dogs. We would definitely recommend staying here. The place was clean and well kept. Bed was comfortable.

My wife, our fur babies, and I stayed overnight at the farm on our way from New York to Texas. It was very clean, comfortable, and quiet for us. Very Relaxing, Quiet Stay
My brother and I had a wonderful, relaxing, quiet stay and we would definitely return. The only thing to watch out for is the grassy decline to access the entrance of the basement apartment. The rocks in the hillside help, but it was still tricky for us to navigate since we are in our mid to late 60's. In addition, the advertisement on VRBO states there is a washer & dryer, but there was neither.

Very nice hillside farm with several animals--llamas, sheep, dogs, horses, pig, goats--and plenty of space. The place we stayed in was comfortable, clean, and tidy. We met the hostess, who was warm and friendly. She was helpful when we needed a couple items, too. Be careful going down to the basement apartment, however, since it has grass and an incline to get to it. We appreciate our stay there!

My family wanted to stay at a farm by the Ark Encounter that my son could help feed and interact with the animals. However, that was not the case at all. Our room was filthy and we did not get to interact with any of the animals. However, her neighbor was amazing and let us pet her animals. 😍

Came down to Kentucky to see the the creation museum and see the ark incounter
We had a grate time staying here! Jeniffer has lots of animals that we could see and pet it was very private in her basement my husband and I had the king size bed and my parents had the queen’s we shared the bathroom and kitchen it was very clean we would stay here agin allso my husband and I finally got to use the pool the last night and the pool was like bath water nice and clean! The Perfect Hideaway!
If you’re looking for a peaceful, tucked away place, the Free Radical Ranch is perfect! Not too far for convenience, yet, far enough from city/traffic noises. It was so nice to be able to venture out and get in some amazing scenery, then go back to the farm for some R&R. Jennifer made sure that we had everything we needed and gave us accurate directions/check in instructions that made our arrival a piece of cake. We traveled to the Creation Museum, the Ark Encounter, and into Ohio, and it was so nice to not have to travel a super far distance back to the farm every day. It was very clean and the beds were very comfortable as well. The animals on the farm are well taken care of and a pleasure to see. I really don’t anything bad to say about this place. Simply peaceful and comforting.
