Very central located hotel - friendly staff but can’t mask the very dated and frankly worn out look of the whole hotel. Rooms clean and tidy but impossible to regulate room temp as no AC and super warm bathroom. Breakfast decent and authentic.

The location of the hotel was brilliant. In the centre and close to everything. Staff was friendly and helpful when needed. Parking was a bit of a challenge but that's always if the hotel is in the town centre.

I advise anyone not to book this hotel

This hotel is a disgrace. I booked for three days and had nothing but trouble for two of them. Check-in was a disaster. I had to wait for someone from outside to come into my room, and that was at 10 p.m. because no one is in after 9 p.m. If you want to use the hairdryer, you can forget it, as the hotel has a maximum of 1,000 watts. If you have more than that, the power in the room goes out, which I experienced all night. The rooms are very old and smelly, the beds are very old, the floors creak when you walk on them, and the bathrooms are very old and dirty. The hotel isn't rated four stars, but one star at most. I wanted a discount for this, but the hotel was very greedy and didn't accommodate me. I advise anyone not to book this hotel unless you really want to have problems.

Das Zimmer war sauber, das Bett war gut. Das Bad sehr klein. Es ist leider sehr hellhörig. So, dass das einschlafen lange gedauert hat. Das Frühstück war gut, es gab alles was das Herz begehrt.

Sängen var väldigt skön och boendet hade en äldre stil, men på ett charmigt och trevligt sätt. Överlag var boendet bra. Det som tyvärr drar ner betyget en hel del är att rullgardinen i sovrummet var trasig, vilket gjorde att det inte gick att få ordentligt mörkt på natten. Annars hade vi en trevlig vistelse.

Denna kväll var det en person till med mitt namn som hade bokat rum. Jag upptäckte tyvärr sent att jag hade fått dennes kvitto och det rummet som den personen med samma namn hade bokat var 500:- billigare. Detta kan kanske förklara varför vi fick rummet på första våningen ovanför restaurangen. Vi skulle upp tidigt men kunde inte somna eftersom trubaduren i restaurangen sjöng så högt att inte ens hörselproppar dämpade ljudet. När klockan blev 23.00 ringde jag ner till receptionen och fick till mig att han skulle hålla på till 24.00. Jag fick till svar att de inte kunde hjälpa mig, de kunde inte ens be dem sänka ljudet något och vi kunde inte heller byta rum eftersom det var fullbokat. Till saken hör att det fanns regler(!) uppskrivna i rummet och det var paradoxalt nog att det skulle vara tyst efter 22.00. Vill man komma till ett slitet, varmt hotellrum och med risk för störd nattsömn är Motala stadshotell ett bra val.

Frukost kan förbättras en hel del ingen värme på det varma och stenhårt bacon brödet är hårt utanpå så man tror man knaprar på knäcke bröd Personalen på restaurangen var inte ok tog bort glas från bordet fast man inte var klara bara med maten och sa det oxå för vi var rökare Har aldrig upplevt detta och maten var inte ens bra heller så tyvärr nästa gång blir det mat och kanske boende någon annanstans har varit här många gånger och varit så nöjda men detta är inte ok tror det kan vara nya ägare och annan personal än för två år sen
