"Bensly Cottage is a wonderfully cosy and characterful place to stay that is within easy walking distance for everything in Sherborne including the castles (and only a couple of minutes walk from the abbey). It makes it an ideal place to stay if you want to explore Sherborne on foot. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! "

"The property was absolutely lovely. Perfect for what I was looking for. Close to the main town of Glastonbury as it took a short drive to get there. The accommodation was very clean. Towels and linen provided and kitchen equipment was very good. Bed was very comfy and I loved the lighting in there. Overall I enjoyed my stay. "A busy weekend for a family wedding, but The Milk House was the perfect place to come back to and rest. Very relaxing and peaceful. Property was absolutely stunning our host, Rebecca was so so lovely and couldnt have been more welcoming. We will 100% be coming back for another family weekend soon. "

"All staff were kind and responsive, but there weren't enough of them! The restaurant was unable to serve food when a concurrent banquet was scheduled (announced to me after I had ordered my wine) until an hour later. Breakfast staff unable to keep up with stocking the coffee machine and clearing the tables. Not the fault of the staff, but the management. The food at restaurant, when I got it, was truly delicious. Quite exceptional. And the front desk staff went out of their way to help with bags and taxi reservations. I stayed in an apartment which was spacious and pretty much new. No complaints about facilities. I cannot think of a better location, maybe 50 meters from entrance to Cathedral Close. "

The breakfast room is exquisitely decorated with busts of famous peots in which you can eat a sumptuous cooked full english breakfast. The property is wonderfully peaceful and the beds as beautifully soft and comfortable. If you are looking for a modern sparse hotel then this is not it, and you should look elsewhere. If you like a wonderful property with bags of history to it then you are in luck!"
