Log Cabin Suissevale Beach Access Home

Vacation in this lovely log cabin in Suissevale. Plenty of room for the whole group! Sleeping 12 with 4 bedrooms and 1.75 baths this home is only 1/4 mile from the Suissevale Association beach. Spend the days and nights relaxing on the front porch or back deck. The main level on this home has an open concept living room with a pullout couch, dining room and kitchen. The dining area has 11 folding chairs plus seating outside on the expansive deck with a gas grill.

There is one bedroom on the main level with a queen bed and love seat for sitting with a 3/4 bath off the hall. Upstairs is a loft with queen bed and a third bedroom with 2 twins and a full bed. *The ladder in this bedroom should not be used, it is just for decoration.* The full bath is off the hall. On the lower level is a sitting area with a couch and another area with 2 twins beds. This home also has Wi-Fi, a washer/dryer, central air and cable TV. Enjoy the extra amenities that the Suissevale community has to offer like 2 sandy beaches, playground, tennis court and basketball court!

The Suissevale Association does not allow tenant use of the association beach on Saturdays. Instead, the property owner will provide a beach pass to the nearby State’s Landing Beach for guest use, where parking is available.

Cast-off furniture&dated decor but has all minimums

Reviewer Comments: Pros: airy log cabin in excellent location - walking distance to beach w/ privacy from neighbors; clean except oven; will sleep many; good frig; central air; w/ dishwasher; plenty of hot water; good wifi; had some empty kitchen shelves for food storage; good washer and dryer; Cons: mish-mash of furniture w/ very dated decor; kitchen supplied w/ castoffs; minimal pans and appliances; poor quality kitchen knives, pot holders and cutting board; no dish towels; clutter in closets; kitchen table is from a patio set; outdoor furniture is mostly old plastic chairs; old mattresses; kitchen cabinets haven’t been organized in years; no hair dryer; front wild flower bed could be very pretty but hasn’t been weeded in years; poor wfh options (no desk or desk-height table except kitchen table); extra seating is metal folding chairs

The house had plenty of room for our extended family and the house was located in easy walking distance to the beach. I would have liked to have had a real kitchen table with some comfortable chairs for our stay as we had a few rainy days at the lake and spent some time playing cards. The large back deck was a beautiful addition that my grand-babies enjoyed playing/crawling on but would have liked to have some sort of gate for the back steps. All in all a wonderful,restful vacation! We will be coming back!

Great location only 5 minute walk to the beach. 2 drawbacks, we didn't know until we arrived that we had to get a permit for the firepit in advance (or if you do it online you have to do it separately for each day and pay each time). We also let the property management company know that not all the lightbulbs were working. This house had everything you need. No frills but it's all there.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home is in a lovely location, and an easy walk to the Suissevale Beach. This could easily be a five star house with a few updates. Nonstick cookware is all chipped, the glass dining table collects crumbs from previous tenants and the folding chairs placed many of our party a bit too low at the table. Small issues, but quite noticeable during our two week stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had problems with the grill and we were not able to use it during our stay. I commented on the same issue last year and the year before. Nothing has changed. The pots and pans are not in very good shape. This property sleeps 12 and the pots and pans are not sufficient. The front door does not close tight. The screen was bent and allowed bugs in the house. The clothes dryer does not work very well and the garage door opens mechanically but has to be closed manually.
