"When you search for 2 adults and 3 children, a room at the Rydges hotel comes up and offers you a family suite. Many hotels will say unavailable as most family rooms will only accommodate 4 people. We didn’t expect that we would have to pay an extra $80 on top of the $550 we already paid for an extra bed to accommodate the 3rd child. If they are advertising that the room suits 5 people, that should be included in the price, otherwise don’t advertise it as sleeping 5 people. We didnt pay the extra $80 and our son slept on pillows on the ground as there was no couch that he could sleep on either. Felt like it was false advertisement. "

"Place was very nice and the family room was amazing. They handled all issues if I brought it up and checkin was a breeze. Everything including towels, soap, etc. Was well maintained. Breakfast was good and convenient. Only issue we had with breakfast was we had paid for breakfast but it didnt show up on Moxy's end correctly for some reason. This was quickly handled by the staff. Would absolutely recommend the family suite for families!"

"Really great bed, good wifi & TV, basic room with simple amenities overall but cosy and did the job, close to airport. Next time for comfort or a longer stay I would bring shampoo / conditioner if you don’t like 3 in 1, shower shoes and a wash cloth but the existing amenities do the job too. Reception was busy most of the day so felt like I could get support if needed as a solo traveller, no phone in room though. Lots of good delivery options nearby."

"Room was clean, staff were great and helpful. Didn't use the bar or have breakfast as we had the kids just for 1 nights stay but definitely looked enjoyable. Will definitely stay again if we have to travel anywhere nearby again"

"Breakfast was good but the line to get a table was a 15 min wait. Check in and check out staff were super friendly. Room service operator could have been friendlier, they sounded like we woke them up at 10pm for icecream. We cancelled the order as it sounded like we inconvenienced them. The bar closes at 10pm, I thought it definitely should be open till midnight as people checking in late and were being turned away for a night cap. We arrived about 9pm thought we would go and find somewhere for dinner near by as the restaurant was closed, but the only place we could find open was a kebab shop. Next time we will just order room service. Overall we had a lovely time in Sydney for the weekend. "
