"Stayed July 23-26 with our 2 dogs and Son and his girlfriend. Although the room was clean, the smell of mold and mildew and warped bedroom wall were so overwhelming to my Son and his girlfriend that they had to leave and find lodging elsewhere. The other bedroom was fine. The staff was friendly and serviced the cabins often. Do not think we would stay in that cabin again, otherwise nice grounds and friendly staff"

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Bluenose and it was very reasonably priced given the time of year we visited (late August during a weekend). Pros: - Very clean, comfortable rooms - Thoughtful touches in the rooms (vanity kits, lots of towels, bathrobes) - Beautiful and convenient location, only about 3 minutes to downtown Bar Harbor - Very nice pool and hot tub - Incredible gift shop right in the lobby—lots of books, toys, souvenirs, snacks, etc. to choose from - Live music on Saturday night was wonderful Areas for improvement: - Rooms still use actual metal keys; this was sort of eclectic in a way but at the same time was not super convenient"
