"We truly enjoyed our stay and felt right at home. The house was welcoming, clean, and comfortable, and it had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. We especially appreciated the peaceful atmosphere and the thoughtful touches throughout the home.While there were a couple of small things that could be improved, they didn’t take away from our experience. The host was kind, responsive, and made us feel well taken care of.We made some wonderful memories here and would happily stay again. "This was our first trip to Lake Almanor and it was a blast! The cabin and surrounding grounds were clean, cozy , and had all of the amenities needed for our stay. I brought my boat up as well and the accessibility was a breeze! The owners were super friendly and helpful! I would recommend this place every day of the week and twice on Sundays! Can’t wait to get back up there!"

"It was an amazing location and being right on the water with a dock was fantastic. The lake and the views of Mount Lassen are beautiful. The lake temperature was comfortable for swimming and other water activities. The community is quiet, relaxing and friendly. There are only a couple of small markets nearby, so bringing the majority of your food for your stay is recommended. There is a good Italian restaurant nearby and relatively new Mediterranean restaurant in Chester that were nice for an evening out."

Lake retreat for multiple families w/ game room!

"This house is perfect for a multi-family vacation. The kids had the whole downstairs as their hang out/bedrooms and the upstairs was great for parents and to all hang out as a group. Everything was clean, organized, and well appointed. The host, Sara, was wonderful - super responsive and communicative. The house is about 2 minutes by car from Rec Area 1, which is where we hung out most of the time. It was close enough for kids to bike and scooter too (but have electric ones because there is a beast of a hill getting back up to the house the street is on). We also found a cute thrift store right by the rec area and fire station where one of the kids bought a backgammon set! The only cautions about this property is that the downstairs can get pretty chilly, which we were warned about by the host, so just make sure to bring extra blankets (they did provide 2, and had great coverings on the beds) and have sweatshirts for hanging out. They do provide portable heaters, so that helped. Also the primary bedroom has a beast of a skylight and frosted glass window and it gets uncomfortably bright in there. We ended up jerry-rigging a cover on the skylight and stuffing the frosted glass window with pillows so we could sleep. Unless you are a big morning person, bring eye shades and/or bring something to mitigate the light."
Family Lake House Steps from Rec 1 with Beach and Lake Access

"We had a wonderful stay at the Hellman House. The home was much bigger than I expected which was fanatic for our young family. Rec 1 is literally steps away from the house. A quick trip to the park, beach, or pickle ball courts is no problem. The HOA keeps the neighborhood in great shape and it was a relief to relax at the beach. The HOA rakes the beach in the morning and they wipe the dew off the picnic tables in the morning, wow! We were centrally located for trips to Burney Falls and Lassen. We rented a jet ski at Knotty Pine and switched out riders at Rec 1. We enjoyed local food at Îl Lago and Timber Lodge Tavern. The owner was very quick to answer my questions and handle a few hiccups at the property. I’m not sure what’s going on with the HOA gate codes, but it seems like there’s a new separate system for renters. We never got it figured out, but security was very helpful. We plan to return!"
