The cabin was perfect!! The host was very responsive and personable. Contactless check in, clean cabin, privacy and excellent amenities. We really enjoyed our stay and will book there again if in the area. I recommend this cabin!
We love traveling to Mt. Ida and digging for crystals. We found Rachel and the bear cabins on our last trip and the “cub” was an awesome cabin! We have now stayed in the “grizzly” as well and again, a perfect cabin! We won’t stay anywhere else when we come to town. Great location, great host and a great time!!
This cabin had everything we needed. We spent a couple of days and enjoyed the conference of being close enough to town and places we visited. It is in a nice open area and still has that in the woods feeling. Has everything you would need. Nice clean place, with comfortable bed to sleep on. Place to have a bon fire and cook out. Picnic table. I highly recommend this place.
Once again the Grizzly cabin provided a peaceful setting for some much needed rest. The setting is as described. We enjoyed breakfast outside each morning. It was a short weekend stay, but time was taken to visit local mines to do a little crystal digging. As always, we were not disappointed!
Coming back to clean up and just enjoy the evenings outside at the fire pit was extremely relaxing! Whether discussing the day's events or simply enjoying the fire and sounds of night this was a major treat.
The cabin is well set up for cooking in-house. This was important as dietary needs did not allow for eating out in the area. Having a washer & dryer is a plus. Returning home with no work other than unloading the car is nice!
As far as communication with our host, she is a lovely woman with a great memory. She did remember us from spring. She is very responsive if you have questions or concerns. Perhaps this is why this trip was so relaxing!
When time allows, we will return!
My party of three stayed at this cabin for our girls trip to Hot Springs in Mid October. Being from the Dallas area, we wanted to be far from the city lights, sounds and traffic. This cabin was PERFECT for doing just that
The cabin had 2 bedrooms, 1 bath and an open concept living room/kitchen/dining area. We had plenty of room to relax, cook, eat and sleep.
Kitchen had everything we needed for our minimal cooking and coffee in the morning.
Beds were very soft and comfortable with plenty of blankets.
Living room had a couch and 2 recliners.Roku TV had all the apps needed for watching TV. Dining room table had seating for 5.
Our favorite activity was sitting outside in the evening to view the stars and hear the night time animals. Early morning was for coffee, listening to the birds and watching the sunrise.
There is a picnic table to use, fire pit and outdoor chairs.
I would recommend this cabin to anyone wanting to stay in this area and have a tiny home feel to their stay. It has everything and is a very short drive to the Crystal mines, recreational areas and downtown Mt. Ida. Hot Springs was about 45 minutes away and was a very easy drive.
Will definitely stay here again! We LOVED IT!
Our stay at the Grizzly Cabin was fantastic—truly cozy, impeccably clean, and the location was absolutely stunning. We highly recommend this VRBO property to anyone seeking a peaceful and memorable mountain escape.
The cabin was wonderful, it was clean and well stocked and offered a much needed retrieve after being out all day. We will definitely be using this cabin again!
Love staying here. Planning our next trip to stay there again! Very comfortable, safe and peaceful.

Great location for multiple activities. The cabin is semi-secluded with plenty of grounds for family/grou activities. The area is full of activities to do, Would absolutely recommended and definitely go there again,
My two children and I stayed here to spend the week at Lake Ouachita boating/hiking/etc and this was a perfect place for us. The cabin is very nice and clean. The check in process was very easy and the owner/manager is very responsive.
The property is located near Lake Ouachita and is in a country like/peaceful setting. Great if traveling with dogs with good recall as there is lots of green space and is not near a busy road. We really enjoyed the fire pit. The cabin is quaint and comfortable. I was disappointed in the cleanliness of the kitchen, dishes and toilet area. To be changed 100 cleaning fee at booking the cabin wasn’t that tidy.. Overall we did enjoy the stay.
10/10. The property is simple yet beautiful and we absolutely enjoyed staying there. Having Wi-Fi in such a secluded area along with all the other amenities made our long journey there much more rewarding. We were able to watch anything we wanted and even cook with some seasonings that were available to us in the pantry. On top of all that, the area surrounding was gorgeous, serene and perfectly distanced from the other properties around. And it’s about a 30 minute drive from some very nice river floats. We enjoyed our stay and will be renting again in the future!
Exactly as advertised, very clean & comfortable with plenty of dishes, coffee pot & coffee, spices, linens, etc. There were a couple of kitchen chairs that had bad legs, but other than that all was as advertised. We ended up mot hunting for crystals or doing anything extra. Just cooked, rested, watched T.V. & sat on the porch enjoying the quiet & the beauty of the Royal Oaks & wildflowers. We loved it! THANK YOU!!!!!

So when we first arrived there was trash everywhere. Which I contacted the owners and they had it cleaned up right away. The cabin it's self is really cute. Now for the worst part was once you got inside everything was tore up or broke. The mattress are the worst I ever sleep on. The pull out couch was even broke. None of us was able to get a goodnight sleep. We were worried about setting in the dining room because they were all broke! SO NOT WORTH THE PRICE AT ALL.
Set in an area that you feel like youre alone yet not far from town. House was gorgeous and the owners were easy to feel with. Great response time on my questions before and during the stay.
Great little cabin in a great location to to outdoors things around the area and with easy access to Hot Springs. Cabin was well stocked and had everything we needed. We spent 4 nights there as a family and had a great time sitting outside by the fire in the evenings and running around during the days. Good grocery store less than 10 mins away and lots of rock shops around to look at.
The only real issue we had is that it is called "secluded". It is in the country, but it is not secluded. If you are sitting outside by the firepit you can see no less than 6 other cabins/houses very close to this one. There is a new one being built and and one of them is even sharing a yard with this cabin, though it is a big yard. When we were there the other people were pretty quiet and not outside at all so it didn't bother us much but it would have if all the others were outside with fires and making noise.
If you are looking for a great spot to spend the night and good location, this place is great. If you are looking for privacy, this is not it.
My mom, daughter, and I stayed for 4 nights far a girls getaway. The location and amenities were amazing. It was nice to make the short drive into Hot Springs each day and then enjoy our cabin in the evenings. The cabin was well stocked and the beds were so comfortable. Definitely look forward to staying again!
