"This location is next to a stagnated open drainage, full of mosquitoes even with aircon.there is a very bad sting. The place is not suitable for holiday stay, unclean full of cockroaches, ants and geckos.Toilets are not in good condition, the master bedroom one is in very poor state with drainage issues.Very old property not maintained well. "Wunderschönes Haus abseits vom Tourismus-Trubel. Trotzdem sind alle Lebensnotwendigen Dinge problemlos zu Fuß oder gegeben falls in wenigen Minuten mit den supergünstigen Tucktuck´s zu erreichen. "One of the worst hospitality service ever. Won't get a towel, bedsheet or toiletries. No cleanliness and smelly dusty rooms. No room service. Swimming pool with decayed leaves and house full of mosquitoes. Broken room locks and the bonus is you won't get water in toilet. Needless to say a poor management by owner and totally irresponsible behaviour. Please don't waste your money by looking at beautiful pics of the villa. Save your money for better stay. Even worst hotels will give better...

"Although we arrived late at night, they accommodated us with great care. There are also excellent refrigerators and washing machines, which are recommended for long-term stays. The living room is spacious and the garden is secure. I felt safe. We used tuktuks and taxis, but you can also walk to the train station. There is also a supermarket within 15 minutes. "We had a lovely stay at Granbell Hotel Colombo. It closed out our two week stay in Sri Lanka, and was one of our highlights. The hotel itself is modern, comfortable and well located. The rooms are incredibly well suited for couples - perfectly sized and with an amazing view (if you are debating, upgrade to a sea view)! My only complaint is that the menu prices exclude VAT, and you are unaware of this until you receive your first bill! It means that the hotel is unfortunately very unreasonable for food and drink for Sri Lanka - but there are plenty of eating options in Colombo."
