We were visiting the College of Charleston for our daughter and decided to make it a family vacation. We had never been to Charleston before. It was a fun trip.
Mt. Pleasant was a great place to be. Less than a 5 minute drive to restaurants, shops, grocery store...yet the neighborhood was peaceful and quiet. Many families travel in golf carts. It was really cool.
Less than 10 mintues to Sullivan's Island Beach, which was not crowded. Just a few more minutes and you can be on the Isle of Palms beach, where there is more going on. We had a great time on Sullivan's Island. Family friendly vibe. This was the highlight of the trip.
Downtown Charleston and C of C were ten minutes away, as well. So, Mt. Pleasant is ideal if staying in Charleston. Uber would be really easy to use here. We rented an extra car to get around and didn't need it.
The house itself is clean, nicely decorated and has 5 bedrooms, each with their own bathroom. All of the furnishings are high quality. It is on a quiet cul-de-sac with no traffic noise. Underneath the home is a huge, open air play area with a pool table, ping pong and tiki bar. Outside is a shaded brick patio underneath a huge second story deck with many seating areas.
I highly recommend this home! * * * * *
