Beautiful Home
Beautiful home, They even left a hand written note, and water bottles for us, made you feel like you were at home. Wish we were able to stay longer. We will definitely rent again. Great location to Linville Lake.

Riding in Renfro Valley
We had a wonderful time. This property was a great find. Quiet, comfortable and close enough to everything. We enjoyed the fall colors from the back porch, as well as the natural beauty of area. We just loved it and will likely stay here again.

We enjoyed our night at Red Bird House. The bed was comfortable - loved the bedding - good roku options on the tv as well as local news - coffee and cereal supplied- quaint furniture- convenient for Renfro Concerts - a better option than a hotel room for us!

My friend and I went to a show at Renfro Valley. The house is just a few minutes away. It was clean, inviting and comfortable for our short stay. Hostess answered my inquiries quickly. Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect location to attend concert at renfro valley entertainment center. To allow for four adults may consider a queen bed on lower level with the trundle/futon in the common area Enjoyed our stay. Beautiful lake and area

Nice property
Nice little home. Very close to lake and a short walk to the boat dock and restaurant. Home was quiet and generally clean. The one item that was a bit concerning was the carpet in the bedroom. It was very dirty and worn. There was something "sticky" on it and it looks like it is time to have it replaced. Other than the carpet, it was all very nice.

Relaxing home
The house is beautiful. The king size bed was so comfortable, like a nice cloud. Kitchen and living had a nice open layout with sliding doors to the screened in deck which was perfect to sit out on at day and night time. I called with a question and she was so sweet and nice. It’ll be my place to stop when in Kentucky now.

Dark and Unwelcoming
We did NOT stay at the rental. My daughter and I arrived at the property after 8 pm, a stop on her move from FL to KY. The road was so narrow and dark that we were concerned the U-Haul truck wouldn’t even get to the house. Then her Toyota bottomed out trying to pull up the steep driveway. The house and street were completely dark. We immediately backed out of the driveway, called the guys in the moving truck who were following us, and met at a hotel instead. The property description doesn’t mention the steep grade of the driveway, the lack of street or exterior lights, or the narrow secluded road. This was the worst booking experience I’ve had since I started using VRBO six years ago.

I am sorry your daughter and you were unable to navigate the driveway and for not having streetlights in rural Rockcastle County Kentucky. This rental is in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. It is quiet and tranquil and off the beaten path but close to everything in the area. Roads in this region don’t usually have streetlights and are narrow and hilly. But no streetlights mean you can see the constellations in the sky. As for the worst booking experience you have had since using VRBO, you were given a complete refund. I do hope your daughter enjoys college in Kentucky.

Clean , decorations amazing , very well equipped , totally enjoyed our stay and will be doing it again this year , , Can't wait to come back . Only thing I would feel better about is if there was a grab-bar and tub mat , I didn't feel too safe taking a shower . Thank you for letting us share your lovely cabin .

We really enjoyed the property detailed as pictured everything was nice! Fully stocked with the necessary utensils. We stayed in and rested! Bed was comfortable and Shower head with three water spickets was relaxing.

A Great Getaway
My husband and I stayed here while we attended a concert. It was very comfortable and much bigger than expected. The owner was very kind and even offered to decorate for Christmas in March since it was a Christmas gift for my husband.

Overnight Stay
The house was very cute and had everything we needed for a quick overnight stay. The refrigerator did not work which didnt effect my stay since I had a cooler. With that said, we messaged about the fridge as soon as we arrived (8p) and didnt hear back until the next morning. Again, didnt significantly affect me so my overall stay was great.

Cute little place
There were 2 beds and a futon downstairs, and a king bed upstairs, great price for a family of 4-5. There is a lake that would probably be great for fishing. Everything was in order, so there was not much of a need to communicate with the host.

A Nice Home Close to Renfro Valley
Visited Renfro Valley to see Sister Hazel in concert. This home was about 5 minutes from the venue, which was nice. Check-in and check-out were simple and easy. Amenities were nice! We thought we struck out and forgot to bring coffee filters. Once my wife located the pantry (I'm obviously blind) there were coffee and filters therein. That was a welcome offering. There was a handwritten note on the table that was welcoming and made the host available to us should she be needed. Bed slept nice. Pillows could be upgraded and more firm or full, but that's a small detail I wanted to share. Neighbors were quiet. Heat worked nicely. Internet on sight. The antique lamp and furniture were unique and welcoming. The next morning, we woke up and enjoyed out coffee on the screened in deck. Then ventured down to the Back Porch Smokehouse for an amazing breakfast. You could walk to this restaurant from the home. Overall, we're completely satisfied with the home and stay.

What a great place to relax!!
Had a wonderful time at Karen's place to celebrate my husband's Birthday. She even left little cupcakes and Happy Birthday decorations on the table. (Thank you). The house was better than described. We only stayed in the upstairs bedroom. The bed was huge and sooo comfortable. Enough blankets and pillows to keep us warm even though the house was warm enough. The view of Lake Linville was wonderful as was the balcony. We would definitely love to stay here again in the near future. Thank you for the wonderful stay!!

A perfect little nest off the lake.
Was just me and my husband. We only used the upstairs bedroom and the bed was amazingly comfortable. A little tall for me as I'm short but we found a step ladder in closet to give me a boost. We only stayed one night on our way through our travels. We were able to enjoy some meal time and the kitchen gave us just what we needed . It lacked a toaster but as a cook the oven did the trick for our am toast. Karen was nice to communicate with except at the end of our time the app was not allowing me to send messages. I reached out to her on her phone and received a response. What a beautiful place to enjoy the birds. Not only red birds but blue jays 💙 everywhere. The drive in off the highway was breathtaking. Passing through we would definitely book again. Maybe even next week on our way back home .

This property is just the right size for a weekend get away or a week long stay. Very clean and had everything we needed. Close to the interstate but not so close that you hear all the traffic. The scenery leading to the property is beautiful.

The property was clean and exactly as described. Communication with the owner was great. We only stayed one night, but it was a comfortable stop. It was a short walk down to the lake, but that was not impressive or very active at this time of the year. The BBQ place was not open the day we were there. I would stay there again if in the area.

We had a great time while we were down there. When we arrived, the home was nice and clean. Pretty quite too. You can hear the traffic from 75 a little bit, but that didn’t bother us. If you want a laid back vacation I recommend this area and home.

I almost feel like this photos don't do this property justice. It has a more homey feel and is unexpectedly spacious! My family of four had a comfortable stay. It had everything we needed and was close to town while still feeling like we were hidden away.

Excellent Lake Property!
This property was great. The house was clean and had everything you needed. There’s plenty of room and the porches are fantastic! The grounds around it were neat and mowed very well. Location was wonderful as it was so close to the lake, marina, restaurant and bait store! We were grateful for some cold waters in the fridge upon arrival. She also left us a sparkling grape juice and a balloon for our Anniversary! That was super sweet! Would definitely love to stay again!!!
