Firstly, there was no indication before arriving that the place we would be staying at was currently in the process of being remodeled. "This house has been newly renovated and was very cozy for our family of 5. The location worked very well for all that we wanted to do in Boone and West Jefferson. Found some great spots for food including: Third Day Kitchen (great views and serene) and the Dough Shed (immaculate restaurant that had a fabulous, well stocked buffet even in late afternoon). We were there in a bit of a heat wave and did find the lack of central AC a little hard and the multitude of newly installed light switches...

"This a beautiful property. Secluded and quiet but close enough to town to visit shops, get groceries, go to restaurants daily. The downtown area of West Jefferson is fun, beautiful, and friendly. Highly recommend this property. We visited with our 3 adult children and had plenty of room to spread out and relax. Would definitely visit again!"
