    Great place to relax
Once again we enjoyed staying here at Papa Bears cabin. It’s such a cute and cozy cabin. Even though it was chilly when we arrived, once we got the fire going in the fireplace, it got toasty warm. It seems like there was some updating to the kitchen since the last time we were there, and it was very nice to cook in. Even though it was chilly and rainy outside, I still loved listening to the river and birds in the morning, while having my coffee. The beds were comfy, we all slept very well. Even our dog liked the cabin, she was so happy and relaxed there. We can’t wait to come stay here again.

    Nice cabin
Nice cabin. Definitely has the vibe I look for when I stay in the area. Hot tub is big and it's lovely to soak while listening to the river. It's easy to get to. Only the very last section is not paved and has massive pot holes, but it's not a long stretch. It was good for two people. It's plenty of space, and there's plenty of room for dining, but I personally would prefer more comfy seating in the living room- there's plenty of space for it. If you had enough people to fill all the beds (7) there's not actually that many seats in the living room. Wifi was good; we could stream entertainment no problem. I recommend bringing some things to grill- it's a really nice grill! We realized we were missing dishwasher detergent but let them know and they brought some for us. Be warned: Charlie Harper puzzle is missing two pieces. Bring some kindling and a good fire starter, paper, etc. There's plenty of firewood, and it's under cover and dry to the touch, but it was definitely wet (heavy and steamed as it heated) and it was really hard to get the fire going. We went to get wood at the store and it was actually just as wet, maybe more so, so it's not really their fault. Seems like that's just what was available in the area. But a fire is a must for us so we kept at it! We only had one car so it was fine, but I'm not sure where you would fit a second one. It would be tight. No chance of more than 2 cars.

    Beautiful cabin stay!
Pros: Location, supply of firewood, check-in process. Cons: House could use a cleaning, poor wi-fi signal I loved the location and property! The only things I feel were lacking was the cleanliness of the house and the reliability of the wi-fi. To feel the heat, you have to crank the thermostat all the way up and use space heaters in the bedrooms and bathrooms. But once it’s warm, it stays warm. As for the wifi — I am sure it’s difficult to get service in an area in the woods, so I’m not sure if I can dock the property for the reliability of the network. I had 0 cell signal unless I was in town, so I depended on the wifi to look up trails, things to do, general information, etc. Overall, the location made up for the shortcomings, and for the price, I can’t complain.

Great Weekend Get Away, however the managment was not understanding!
The place was great,. however we were disappinted with the management / owners. The family came down with Covid the week before the trip. We asked to reschedule and even though later days were available they were not flexible. We still ended up going but a couple of us were sick. It was a beautiful place for a restful weekend and we did enjoy ourselves.

Beautiful riverside view. Spacious, comfortable. Rural area cabin surrounded by rural home owners and private property so unable to explore. Difficult to find, especially at night. Location of entryway key unclear. Bathroom only had space heater but no outlet to plug in to. No hot water the first day and no water at all the second day-lost a day skiing. Management was responsive, however; this event cut into our vacation time. The rental cost was double the advertised rate due to the added fees. Fireplace with wood was lovely. Neighbors were helpful. Roads are in bad shape so travel time was excessive.

Overall the property was nice. Not having access to hot tub or TV's and the state of the house upon arrival we will not be renting here again.

Stunning location and cabin, unfortunately the hot tub didn't work and we lost power before midnight on our third night. Property manager Quintin never responded to text or call. None of the 5 flashlights in the house worked and no instructions were available to turn generator on.
