Just about 5 minutes away lies the picturesque town of Bingen am Rhein, the gateway to the Upper Middle Rhine Valley UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here you’ll find a beautiful Rhine promenade, cosy cafés, upscale wine bars, and excellent restaurants with views of the Rhine.
Experience the region on a boat tour along the Rhine, visit the famous Mäuseturm, the historic Klopp Castle, or discover the legacy of the renowned Hildegard von Bingen. The Museum am Strom, with its exhibitions on the region’s history, and the former State Garden Show grounds with their expansive park invite you to linger. The park offers large green spaces, several playgrounds, a skate park, and lovely walking paths right along the Rhine.
Sports enthusiasts will also find plenty to enjoy. Right on your doorstep, numerous biking and hiking trails begin, running along the Rhine and Nahe rivers as well as through the Binger Wald and the surrounding nature reserves. A fitness trail with a breathtaking view of Rüdesheim and the Niederwald Monument offers ideal conditions for exercising in nature. Canoe trips on the Nahe, bike rides along the rivers, and hikes through the vineyards are also popular.
A special highlight is a trip to Rüdesheim am Rhein. Take the cable car up to the impressive Niederwald Monument and enjoy a unique view over the Rhine Valley.
