I loved the building and how old it was. I loved that the main floor is the original building and the bathrooms off the restaurant and bar are so modern. I love the way the whole property is decorated. The rooms make you feel like your in your own home. We had a an actually patio off our room which was awesome. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and the food was awesome. The only thing I can find that may need some improvement would be the main entrance of the Hotel and the lobby area was very small. This however is very minor. Other than that I have absolutely NO complaints about this lovely Hotel.

This inn is certainly off the beaten path, but such a great place to stay for 2 nights. We were able to drive a short disntance to visit Kilkenny and Waterford while still staying in a small town vibe. The food was outstanding and the staff was very accomodating. Richard, Sarah, Megan and Ciara had outstanding hospitality and we would give this place 5 stars!

This was a quaint little pub/hotel that had clean and updated rooms despite the building's historic exterior appearance. The showers were divine, and we actually considered going back towards the end of our trip just for that! lol. My husband loved the low-key vibe of the pub, and breakfast the following morning was absolutely delicious!! Sarah who checked us out was delightful as well, and shared lots of the history of the pub. Over all we would give this place a 5/5. The only caveat to this particular establishment, is that it is not close to a downtown area or shops which limited what we could do, but if you are going to be staying in the area and visiting Blarney Castle nearby it is a worthwhile stay. We would definitely go back again!

INNviting INNchanting Old country charm
I randomly chose The Garrandarragh Inn for a two night stay away and I fell in love with the building through online photos and it didn’t disappoint when we arrived. All the staff were so welcoming, and so helpful and friendly. I loved the bar with old fireplace and to sit by the warm fire and to listen to the banter between the staff and locals. I hope that it never loses its locals. Always a great sign of a place to see locals frequenting for a pint, a chat and even some food. The bedrooms, newly refurbished, to an excellent standard, beautifully decorated, underfloor heating in en suite. Tea making facilities, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, wifi, A quiet room. Loved the old-world charm of the restaurant with its high ceilings, good wholesome food, breakfast and dinner, large portions, could have done with a half portion but still managed to eat it all and dessert. We had dinner on both evenings, once in the restaurant and the other night by the warmth and comfort of the fire on a very cold day. On-site parking. A great location for sightseeing, A memorable stay. Look forward to returning here.

The host was awesome and very easy to talk to. The food was very good and it was a nice refreshing break from the busy city. The room was very clean and the amenities were some of the best we experienced in Ireland. If we make it back to this area we will be definitely be staying here.

Awesome historic location with a wonderful old world feel to it in a rural setting. Restaurant and pub on premises which are both very nice. Met the owner who was congenial and spoke with us for a while.

We had a fine stay, but the restaurant that was so highly reviewed was disappointing. Menu was limited and it was all comfort food - although not bad, it was very forgettable. The property smelled of alcohol and smoke. It was clean enough, but not cozy. Rooms were spacious and comfortable but they smelled of smoke. No breakfast available before 9AM.
