Welcome to Munising Michigan, the home of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Waterfalls, Boat Cruises, Scenic Tours, and some great Yooper Pasties! Located downtown close to all the local attractions this newly remodeled apartment comes complete with two bedrooms, full bath, open concept kitchen and living space, wifi, and cable tv. This apartment is perfect for short or long stays, whether you are passing through on vacation, or coming up for work and looking for furnished housing. We have recently added a grill outback for guest use, this is shared with unit #1 as well. There is a firepit and seating that is also shared with the other guests staying in the units. Pet friendly for dogs up to 30lbs, 2 dog limit and there is a $53/pet fee plus a one time $30 cleaning charge. Located on the 2nd Floor, the stairwell includes 21 steps to access the units. Larger groups can rent more than one unit in the building if needed, there is a total of 4. Call us for more information.

**PETS! Airbnb may only charge you for the 1st pet, you will be requested to send an additional $50 plus tax ($53) per pet. Our pet policy is $50/pet plus tax plus an additional one time cleaning charge of $30. If Airbnb does not collect this amount you are still responsible. We're respecting your pet, so please respect our pet policy. Clean up after your pet, please do not allow pets on furniture. Please keep kenneled if left alone. If your pet barks when you are gone, please do not leave it alone.

Stay in downtown Munising

We had a wonderful time in Munising! The apartment was so comfortable, beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. The downtown location is great! The perfect place for enjoying walks downtown, the Pictured Rocks cruise, and an easy drive to so many amazing waterfalls. We will definitely plan to stay here again!

Short Snowmobile Weekend

The apartment was great, just as the pictures detail, easy to access, close to everything, beds were nice, coffee maker, parking was easy on the street and behind the property at night. Will definitely consider this property again for future snowmobile trips. Much better than a hotel.

We had a great time on our vacation. Explored the waterfalls, trails and Pictured Rocks. You must ride "Rip Tide" What a blast! Ate a lot of good food. Especially the white fish. Loved it! The apartment was like home away from home. Apartment manager was awesome too. We'll be back. :)

Beautiful Cozy Stay

This apartment in Munising was in the perfect location. We were right downtown munising so we could walk to all of the local dives and coffee shops. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to call home for the past three days of our stay. My only thoughts: the floors felt like they were waxed. Super slippery but at least I knew it was clean! I had some trouble with the microwave stopping after 2 seconds, only got to work once but not a big deal. Otherwise fantastic place! I would 100% recommend to anyone looking to stay in the Munising area!

Wonderful vacation!

We loved it! It was a bit smaller than all six of us are used to with only one bathroom and two bedrooms but we made it work. The only complaint I have is that there were 6 of us and only 4 bowls - so cereal in the morning was a problem and ice cream at night! Other than that it was very clean and felt like home. The kids bedroom door would not stay closed so they put a bag in front of the door. And clear tape in the shower was weird but it worked just fine. Overall I would stay there again if I was going to vacation that direction again.

Pictured Ticks & waterfalls friends trip

We trailered our boat to Sault Saint Marie & Munising to do sault locks & pictured rocks tours on our own and check out the waterfalls. Apt was in a good location. We were able to walk to restaurants & local bars which was nice since we had our boat. The apt was clean. Our only complaints were the beds. Very uncomfortable and sqeeky. The furniture was also stained worn. Would definitely recommend replacing the beds. And consider replacing the couch’s & chair.

Great Spot to Explore Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore

The downtown Munising location is a great place to stay if you want to explore Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. It is close to the hiking trails, waterfalls and tour operators. We also appreciated that you could walk to the local resturants, coffee shops and brew pubs. The apartment offered two good sized bedrooms, and a spacious bathroom. It was great to have access to a grill. The host is very responsive with an questions or concerns. There are two things to know if you stay here. First, guests are often up early for activities. This is an older building and the stairs are creaky, so there can be lots of noise in the morning. If you like to sleep late this might be irritating. A couple of the other rental properties in Munising will warn potential guests about this problem. Second, there are curtains, but not blackout curtains, so there is lots of light in the front units from the street lights.

Downtown Munising

The apartment is directly downtown. Be aware that in the directions it stated to look for the business directly below the rental. That business is no longer there and vacant. Property management should update to make it easier to locate. Maps on your cellphone did not work well in the area, so having updated directions is key. The apartment sleeps four comfortably, but the couch is shorter, and not big enough to have a teen sleep on (it does not have a pull out bed in the couch). There is not a washer and dryer, which with a VRBO is pretty standard, so just make note. There is a laundromat we used down the road, which worked for us, but was inconvenient. The place was very clean, had a full kitchen with supplies and in a fantastic location. The stairs to the apartment may not be for those that struggle physically with limitations. It was close to great restaurants and accommodated our two dogs, which is always a win to be dog-friendly. I would recommend to family/friends.

If you like a quaint nostalgic modernized old building this is the place to stay. It was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Just little quirks like getting the bathroom door to stay closed and the street light shining in the bedroom window. I would suggest a blackout shade. All in all we had an enjoyable stay.

You are centrally located to water tours and Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore hiking. You're right in town and can walk to restaurants, shops and ice cream. We were able to walk to the Pictured Rocks Sunset Cruise on Friday evening. Mainstreet Pizza was on the walk back and we picked up a take-out pizza on the way home. The apartment was a good size for the 4 of us and our teenagers appreciated each having their own queen sized bed. We had everything we needed in the apartment and the living room had seating for all of us. We had plenty of parking right outside the front door.We highly recommend doing the Pictured Rocks Kayaking Ultimate Tour. It was our favorite activity and the beauty was amazing. Getting in the water and up close to the rocks was truly special.Captain Ron's fish truck is also a must do. The whitefish baskets and sandwiches are delicious. For hiking, the Chapel Rock Trail leads you to the lake for beautiful views with waterfalls along the way. We would stay here again.
