"Room was fine but I did not like being near the ice machine. I could hear it every time someone got ice. Location was excellent, 5 min drive to the Pictured Rocks cruise location."

"The staff were very friendly and helpful. George was great!! Gave good advice about the nearby falls and the pictured rocks! Definitely worth seeing! The view of Lake Superior is wonderful from our room and the sunsets were beautiful! In a PERFECT location to everything! I gave 4 stars because the room was a little older, but we could tell when we booked. Was clean and staff very friendly! We were busy sightseeing, hiking, etc. during the day, so was perfect for watching the sunset and sleeping. They had grills you could bbq on, we saw people using them, but we never did."

"We booked a suite not realizing that the suite do not come with the kitchen/stove area. They were easy to accommodate and get us upgraded to the cabin that would allow us to store and cook all the food we brought. They have a beautiful waterfall right behind the property that you can actually go right under! They have a giant hiking trail as well. It’s just enough out the city but not to far where my husband and I biked into town and explored as well. The personal fire pit out front made the cold night warm. Along with having centralized air and heating was amazing. Very clean inside, no issues with anything. They provided Kcups for coffee, bathroom soap essentials, and even a lighter to get your fire started. I loved the giant windows to view from but also that they had shades for privacy. Overall this cabin experience at explore made our trip to the U.P peacefully at home."

Quality Inn & Suites Munising

"It's an old roadside motel that's been updated. It's an old building where you can hear conversations in the room next door and people walking above you. Everything was clean, for sure. But the age of the place is showing. My bathtub had a huge patch job on the bottom and the shower head had blocks of wood holding it into the wall. Two floors with no elevator. Water pressure was lacking and the water smells like metal, which I honestly don't blame them for. Just know the area you're in. Everyone was super nice, but I guess I'm just spoiled by modern hotels. I'll just stay in Marquette next time."
