Regarding VIP access, I did inquire about any perks but wasn’t offered any. At check-in upgrading wasn’t offered. I did request a few extra bottles of water (there were 2 in the room and I stayed 3 nights) but was told that I would have to purchase them. I found Dawn, the restaurant, disappointing and ate elsewhere ~ I had hoped to eat at the hotel each morning. I hadn’t thought to look into if there was an onsite gym and there is not, the hotel offers a deal at another location but it isn’t convenient. My last night at the hotel there was an electronic tone that lasted for hours: I didn’t feel like I could go to Dawn/restaurant area and request a room change so dealth with it. I would not stay here again.

Stones River National Battlefield is such a cool place to visit. The forests are full of rocky alcoves, perfect for providing camo for advancing troops, yet very dangerous to traverse.
